Finally after what seemed like forever my moms name was called i got up and followed behind they look her weight her blood pressure and everything els they do before your seen by the doctor, we got to a room sat down to wait for the actual doctor, 20 minutes went by and finally he showed up man they take forever around here.
"Hello my name is Doctor Dee, so tell me miss Marshall what's going on today" the doctor said while walking in and looking through the paper work,
"well i was trying to make breakfast this morning and bumped my arm on a really hot pan its fine really i tried to tell my daughter that i was fine but she didn't want to hear that" Mom said while looking at me for that last part. The doctor began to stand up and walk towards mom
"Alright well let me take a look at it then" she lifted her arm up to show him he grabbed the arm and started to examine it. Finally he sat her arm down and pushed his glasses on top of his head And sat down
"Well miss Marshall your lucky its nothing to serious, ill write you some ointment for it and you'll put it on twice a day once in the morning and once at night after your shower keep doing this until it's empty or its healed." With that we left he was very nice and professional. We stopped at the red pony for some lunch before looking at houses. I parked the car and we walked in and sat at the table.
Henry walked up to us "hello lady's what can i do for you?"
"Uh can we get a sandwich please and tea"
"Very well will that be all?"
"Uh yeah thank you" i said and he walked away
"So this is where Henry works i like this place"
"Yeah mom this is also where we met too" with that Henry brought our food and drinks
"So miss Kacey how is the arm what did the doctor say?" Henry asked mom
"He said luckily it wasn't bad and i gotta put some ointment on it"
"Ahh well that's good" he looked up and said "excuse me lady's" and walked to the other end of the bar to anther set of people. We sat in silence and ate our lunch, paid and said goodbye to Henry, we got into the car and headed off.
"So mom you excited?"
"Yeah I am I've also got to find a job as well"
"Yeah well Henry's looking for waitresses he offered me the job but you need it more than i do so why don't you take it?" I looked over at her and she just started to smile at i turned back at the road
"Are you sure hunny?"
"Yes mom I already got a job you need this"
"Oh thank you darling really appreciate it" yeah well you'll be starting tonight ill give Henry a call and let him know" with that being said we carried on with our day we looked at a few places two houses and three apartments
"So mom what do you think of any of these places"
"Hmm well i really like the little blue house the two bedroom place"
"Yeah that's a really cute house i like it too" we looked at the guy that was renting the house and we made the first little payments we needed and it was hers"
"Okay so mom since its so late we will go to the house you'll get ready for work and ill start packing your things"
"okay hun sounds like a plan" with that we went home she got ready and left for work i had already called Henry and told him about mom coming instead of me, I jumped in the shower and got out i put some cloths on and began to make dinner tonight was hamburgers and home made French fries. Finally 9:30 rolled around and mom walks into the door
"How was our first day?"
"Ugh it was not that hard it was good i made some good tips"
" that's good mom well i just finished up dinner I'll eat with you but imma take Henry a plate he said he was gonna have a late night tonight so he wouldn't be able to make it"
"Oh well that's thoughtful of you hun, I don't know about you but I'm hungry lets eat" with that we sat down and ate it was 10:30 and i was headed out with this plate i get to the bar an see his truck and another suv in the parking lot that's a little weird the bar is closed well i walked to the door and it was wide open that's even weirder, I walk in and call Henrys name but nothing I panicked I don't have my gun i mean why would i need it right?
His office door was closed i knocked on the door and nothing so i call his and and knock again still nothing then i hear something fall and brake and heard Henry said "I'm busy" but it sounded like he was struggling so i picked the lock i pushed open the door and seen three big men and one short fat man sitting down the big men wear holding Henry
"Henry" i yelled he looked at me and yelled
"RUN GO!" But before I could run the door was slammed shut i turned around and another big man was standing in front of the door
"Well Standing Bear this just got intriguing she's very beautiful" the. Short fat man said
"Malachi let her go"
"I'm a cop so i suggest you tell me what the hell is going on," Malachi started to laugh
"Oh beautiful you think that scares me SIT DOWN" he yelled at me I jumped from it, it took me by surprise. So i sat down
"Know back to what we were doing" one of the big guys held Henry by both arms while the other drew his arm back and slammed his fist into Henry's stomach Without thinking i jumped up and yelled "NO!" Then someone grabbed me and held me wouldn't let me get to him
"Hush princess its okay its only to teach him a lesson but you keep that hollering up and its gonna be worse" Malachi said to me i shut my mouth a tear slipped I looked at Henry and he had his head hung down and said
"You touch her and i swear to god ill kill you myself Malachi" Henry said while lifting his head and then that same man threw another punch at Henry i let a whimper out trying not to say anything to cause much more harm.
"Know Standing Bear that will be all for tonight i hope you have learned a lesson and for you princess take care" with that the men dropped Henry and he fell to his knees and the one guy let me go and they left i started to cry when Henry made his way over to me
"I am so sorry that wasn't suppose to happen, you weren't supposed to be here" he held me
" Henry are you okay?" Is all i could get out. We ended up sitting at the bar it was quit I couldn't say anything I couldn't form any words my head was swarming with questions
"Luna please say something anything?" I just took another drink I wouldn't look at him I just couldn't I don't know why,
"Henry why,who and,what did he want? I can help you?" He just shook his head.
