Of course my parents had to invite the Gallagher's to stay with us for the next few weeks! I love Rob and Lauren, but their son Aidan and I don't get along at all! We never have.
Also, Aidan has to sleep in my room! My parents bought a rollaway bed and put it in there for him.
It just sucks!
The front door opened and I turned to see my parents laughing with Rob and Lauren while Aidan stood awkwardly behind them.
I walked over to them.
"Y/N!" Lauren yelled as she pulled me into a hug, "it's so good to see you!"
"You too, Lauren," I smiled as we pulled away from the hug.
Rob pulled me into a hug, "how you doing kiddo?"
"I'm good," I chuckled.
"Y/N, why don't you take Aidan to your room so he can get settled," my mom said.
I'd rather die.
"Sure," I smiled.
Aidan picked up his suitcase and followed me upstairs to my room.

He set his suitcase next to his bed, "I think I should get your bed."
"And I think you should sleep on the floor," I said crossing my arms.
"I take it the rolling bed was your moms idea?" He asked.
"I sure as hell didn't think of it," I said.
He chuckled, "clearly."
I rolled my eyes. This kid really knows how to get on my nerves!

I walked out of the bathroom connected to my room to see Aidan laying on my bed.
"Off," I said.
"Make me," he smirked.
I grabbed his leg and pulled him off the bed.
"Damn, Y/N," he said as he rubbed his back.
"What were you expecting me to do?" I asked.
"I don't know. Not drag me off the bed," he said standing up.
"You asked for it," I said.
He turned to face me, "God, I really hate you."
"I hate you too," I said, "now go to your bed and leave me the hell alone."
He rolled his eyes and walked over to his side and sat down on the bed.
I laid down on mine and got snuggled up under the covers, "you're in charge of the lights."
He groaned, but got up to turn off the lights.

Thunder rumbled in the sky causing me to wake up.
Shit.
My heart pounded in my chest as I waited for the lightening. It's always lightening.
If Aidan finds out that I'm scared of storms, he'll make fun of me for ever. He'll never let it go.
My room lit up as the lightning struck.
I sat up in my bed and pulled my legs to my chest.
I can do this.
Thunder rumbled.
I can do this.
Lightning struck and I jumped.
I can't do this.
Tears streamed down my cheeks.
Thunder rumbled.
"No," I whispered as I cried.
Lightning struck.
"Y/N?"
No. Go back to sleep Aidan!
I looked up to see him looking at me.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
I nodded, "Y-yeah, I-I'm fine."
Lightning lit up my room causing me to jump.
Fucking Mother Nature!
"Yeah, you look fine," he chuckled.
"I really can't deal with your sarcasm right now," I said.
He got up and walked over to me.
"W-what are you doing?" I asked as he sat down on the bed.
"You're shaking," he said ignoring my question.
Thunder rumbled.
I put my head on my knees.
Lightning struck.
Aidan picked me up and set me on his lap.
What the hell is happening?
He held me close to his chest and rubbed my back, "you're okay."
"Aidan, what are you doing?" I asked as I finally started to calm down.
"What does it look like?" He asked as he continued rubbing my back.
"But why?" I asked.
Thunder rumbled.
Lightning struck.
I wrapped my arms around Aidan and buried my face in the crook of his neck.
"Because you're scared," he said as he laid his head on mine.
"And you're being nice to me right now, why?" I asked.
"Because you're scared," he said.
"Well, I don't need your protection," I said.
"You're clinging onto me as if your life depends on it," he laughed.
I sat up and looked at him, "I don't depend on you."
"Tell that to the next flash of lightening," he said.
I rolled my eyes.
Thunder rumbled.
Lightning struck.
I jumped back instead of towards Aidan.
"Woah, Y/N!"
He caught me before I fell off the bed.
"You okay?" He chuckled as he pulled me back onto his lap.
I sighed and rested my head on his shoulder, "yeah."
"Now you depend on me," he said.
"Aidan, shut up," I said.
He laughed.
I rolled my eyes, "you can go back to your bed now. I'll be okay."
"I don't think you will be," he said as a laid me down and covered me up.
"Trust me, I'll be-"
Thunder rumbled.
Lightning struck.
I jumped.
"You'll be what now?" He smirked.
"Just go to bed," I said.
I rolled on my side and closed my eyes, but they opened right back up as I felt the bed dip on the other side.
"Aidan, what the hell are you doing?" I asked as I rolled over to face him.
"I'm going to stay with you and protect you," he said as he wrapped his arm around me and pulled me closer to him.
"I don't need your protection," I said.
"So you want me to leave?"
Thunder rumbled
Lightning struck
I buried my face in Aidans chest, "this doesn't change anything. I still hate you," I said.
"I hate you too," he said.
