Healing Together- Aidan

It only took four months, but I'm finally starting to feel like myself again after being dumped by my now ex boyfriend, Aidan.
My family moved to Brooklyn about three years ago. I had to leave Aidan and it was heartbreaking. He was my best friend. About a year later, we flew out to Toronto where he was shooting season one of The Umbrella Academy and we admitted our feelings for each other.
He was shooting season two when he broke up with me. We never knew how his schedule was going to be and it started to get extra hard for him to call me. And it seemed like whenever he was able to call, my internet was acting up or I was busy.
We got into a huge fight about both us not taking it seriously or trying to help our relationship. He broke up with me after that.
My parents have always been close friends with his. That's how we became best friends. Well, my parents invited his parents, Lauren and Rob, to come stay with us for a few weeks. I love Rob and Lauren so I'm excited to see them. And Aidan isn't coming. So that's a plus.

The front door opened and I peaked around the corner, "hi, mom. Hi, dad. Where's Lauren and Rob?"
"Hi, sweetie, they're on their way inside," dad said.
He glanced out the door before looking at me.
He's hiding something.
"What's going on?" I asked.
Before they could answer Lauren and Rob walked in. With Aidan behind them!?
"Aidans here too," my mom said.
Lauren walked over and pulled me into a hug, "I think you got even prettier."
"That's a lie, but thanks," I said.
"I'm so sorry. He got himself grounded and we couldn't leave him home," she whispered.
"Don't worry about it," I said.
She gave me a smile before letting me go.
Rob gave me a hug too, "it's good to see you, Y/N."
"You too, Rob," I said.
He pulled out of the hug and gave me a smile.
"Okay, Rob and Lauren. You guys have the guest bedroom. And Aidan, you and Y/N have to share a room... but we have the rollaway bed, so you don't even have to share a bed," mom said.
"Thank God," Aidan said as he picked up his bag.
Great. And to think I finally got over our break up.
"Well, it's late. And you guys have been flying for hours,"mom said.
We all walked upstairs.
"I'll get the rollaways bed," dad said opening the hall closet and rolling the bed out.
"I got it, D/N," Aidan said.
"Cool, cool," dad said as Aidan rolled it to my room.
"Just holler if you need me to kick his ass," dad said to me.
"I think I'll be okay," I said.
"Night, sweetie," he said before kissing me head.
"Night, dad," I said before walking in my room.
Aidan had the bed all set up.
"I got sheets, blankets, and a pillow," mom said walking in.
"Thank you, M/N," Aidan smiled.
"Of course," she smiled.
She walked over to me and kissed my head, "good night, honey."
"Night Mom," I said.
She walked out shutting the door behind her.
Great. Now it's just Aidan and me. Alone. Great.
While he made his bed, I picked up my pajamas and walked into the bathroom so I could get ready for bed.

After I finished, I threw my clothes in the hamper and walked out.
"Took you long enough," Aidan said getting up and walking into the bathroom.
When did he become such a jerk?
I got in bed pulled the covers over me.
I got on my phone and scrolled through Facebook.

A few minutes go by and Aidan walks out of the bathroom.
"I guess I'll turn off the lights," he said walking over to the light switch and flicking it off.
"You were the last one in the bathroom," I said.
"Whatever," he said.
"So, what did you do that made it to where you had to come?" I asked.
"None of your business," he said laying down on his bed.
"You know, you've become a real ass," I said.
"So I've been told," he said.
I rolled my eyes. He's such a jerk!

The next morning
I walked downstairs to see Aidan was awake and dressed. He's still extremely handsome. Of course, him being a jerk will cover that up in just a minute.
"Morning, sweetie," dad said handing me a plate of biscuits and gravy.
"Morning," I smiled.
I'm guessing this is his way of apologizing. Making me my favorite breakfast. I'm not mad about it.
I grabbed a fork and sat next to my mom at the table.
"So, Aidan. Was the rollaway bed okay?" Mom asked.
"It was great!" He smiled as he ate his pancakes.
Looks like Lauren made them all a vegan breakfast.
"Good, you're the first one to use it," mom said.
"Well, I'm honored," he smiled.
What a suck up!
"We're all going out tonight, so it's just going to be you two," Lauren said.
"Try to get along," mom said.
"And maybe don't start World War III," dad said.
"We don't even have to be in the same room. Y/N can stay in her room and I'll get the living room," Aidan said.
"Woah, woah, woah. Why do you get the living room?" I asked.
"Because you can watch the tv in your room," he said.
"But what if I want to watch the tv down here?" I asked.
"Both of you knock it off," Rob said.
"You guys can both watch the living room tv. You both like the same kind of movies," dad said.
"Okay," I said.
"Whatever," Aidan said.
