Having transferred his address from my arm into my phone last night, I checked to make sure that I was at the right location.

Nodding my head when I found that I was indeed at the right address, I pulled up to the gate where a security guard sat waiting for me in a booth.

"Please state your name and the reason for being at the Isaacs' residence."

"I'm Laurel Flynn and I have a scheduled meeting with Mr. Isaacs at exactly 3 o'clock."

I was a couple minutes early, but I'd rather be early than late. And Levi made it clear that he wanted me to be here on time.

The security guard who's name tag read Spencer, called who I assumed was Levi to confirm my appointment with him.

I watched as he nodded before hanging up the phone. "Mr. Isaacs is expecting you." After he pushed a button controlling the gate, I thanked him and smiled before proceeding forward.

Parking my car in the driveway of the luxurious modern home, I didn't waste any time admiring the exterior as I only had seconds before the clock struck three.

Ringing the doorbell, I eyed the camera above and waved awkwardly. I felt stupid after doing it and silently cursed myself.

A second later, the door was opened, Levi standing on the other side. He was dressed in a deep gray suit with a white dress shirt underneath, and a pair of crisp white sneakers.

Two buttons on his shirt were undone, exposing more of the tattoos that canvassed his firm build. My eyes trailed down his body, eyeing the expensive looking watch on his wrist.

This was a man who looked like he made millions owning a chain of businesses across the globe.

And although attractive as hell, I preferred his rugged bad boy look more. At least then, I didn't feel as under dressed as I do now.

I wanted to rush back home and change out of this white button down top, denim jeans, and worn out converse shoes.

But it was too late.

So I figured that if I worked hard enough to impress him, then he would end up completely overlooking my poor attire.

He glanced at his wrist watch, then brought his gaze back to me. "Exactly 3 o'clock on the dot. Impressive."

I internally smiled. Being on time has already put me in his good graces. Which means I just might have a shot at getting the job I still know nothing about.

I removed my shoes, leaving them on a black mat near the entrance so I didn't ruin his nice wooden flooring with my dirty old sneakers.

Following him through the foyer and into the living room, he sat down on the sofa chair and motioned me to take a seat in the one positioned on the opposite of him.

Sitting down, I kept my spine straight and placed my hands in my lap.

Awkward silence filled the air, my eyes darting around the room in an attempt to avoid making eye contact. I shifted uncomfortably in my seat, suddenly feeling hot all over under his heavy gaze.

My eyes floated over to him when I caught a glimpse of a grin forming behind his neatly trimmed beard. He sat man-spread with his chin resting on a propped up fist.

After another moment of silence passed, I thought for sure that this had been a waste of time until he finally spoke. "Do you know why you're here, Laurel?"

"No. I was hoping you would tell me," I said truthfully.

He pushed himself up into a more comfortable position, his brows knitting together. "How would you feel working for me as a Nanny?"
