As the flames continued to engulf what I once called 'my home', every noise around me seemed to become distant, as if I was tuning out the world. Red and blue lights fashed everywhere, accompanying the orange from the fire. Police and firemen were everywhere, trying to put out the fire.
Police detectives came towards me, saying things to me that I didn't understand, as if they were speaking in a foreign language.
The supposedly best night had turned into a complete tragic, emotional, and disastorous scar that will stay with me forever.
All of this mess became too much for me to bare, causing me to be welcomed into the dreamless sleep called unconsciousness.

Everything was a haze and white blur once my eyes opened. Squinting my eyes so I could adjust my vision to my surroundings, it appeared that I was hallucinating bright lights, for it seemed it was in the middle of the night. I was in a hospital bed, and the BVB members and my bestie was all crowed around my bed. Andy sitting on a chair on the right side of me, Ashley in a chair on the left, Jake and Jinxx on a mini couch by the door, CC on the foot of my bed, and B/F/N in bed with me on my left side. They were all asleep, looking like they were in discomfort.
"What the hell happened? Why am I here? Why don't I remember anything?"
While I was struggling to answer my own questions, Andy had woken up and saw that I was awake.
"Hey", he said in a scratchy deep voice which I found sexy (A/N I mean wouldn't you?).
"Hi", I replied, not knowing what else to say.
"How are you holding up?"
"I have no idea. How did I get here?"
"You don't remember?"
"Obviously no."
"Well", he sighed, " I'm sorry to tell you this but you passed out once you found out that your parents had died in a fire."
"Parents? Fire? Me passing out? I don't remember any of that..."
Andy gave me a funny look as B/F/N stirred next to me and had woken up. She/He flashed me a sorrowful look while I exchanged a confused one. At that moment, a nurse had came in and noticed that I was awake.
"Good to have you back Y/N. Are you feeling any pain? Light headed? Dizzy?" I shook my head to her questions as she wrote something down on her clipboard.
"Do you remember anything from two weeks ago?"
"Two weeks ago?!" I shook my head, getting a little frustrated that I was the only one not remembering things. Everyone was awake by now and had gave me shocked expressions, making me a little irritated.
"You don't remember your parents? The fire? Anything?"
"Once again, no", I sighed.
"Well it seems that you have amnesia, caused by seeing something so traumatic, that you can't remember anything about it. It's for the best anyway--"
"Excuse me?" Ashley had interrupted.
"Don't get me wrong. She can move on from this tragedy easier without her remembering--"
"Her own parents that gave birth to her?"
"I suppose..." the nurse sighed.
I was confused with all of what happened to my parents that I don't remember.
"Anyway, you guys are free to sign her out of the hospital, since you're the only ones that came to her aid", the nurse concluded.
With that being said, I was signed out and was exited from the hospital. Numerous of paparazi were hiding in the shadows, snapping pictures of us, the camera sounds giving me a headache. Since B/F/N had a house to go back to, we dropped her/him off and decided that I would stay the night with her/him.
We said our goodbyes and thank yous and went inside, greeting B/F/N's parents. They had pity on their faces accompanied with sympathetic smiles once they first laid eyes on me. All I could do was smile back as B/F/N explained to her/his parents about my amnesia. They had nodded their heads, understanding what she/he had just explained.
"Well we/I don't see a problem in adopting you, for you guys act like you're siblings. Would you like to be adopted by us/me?"
"Of course", B/F/N and I were practically jumping up and down in excitement and we were hugging each other.
"Well, we'll/I'll make it official tomorrow in the morning. Now would you like anything to eat?"
I respectfully declined and B/F/N and I headed to her/his room.
"Wanna take a shower? I got clothes you can borrow."
"Sure", she/he handed me clothes and I made my way to the bathroom.

After my shower, B/F/N was on the phone. She/He glanced in my direction and signalled me over.
"So what was your Skype username?" she/he asked the caller, "Okay cyah in a few."
She/He got her/his tablet out and typed in a name. She/He called the user and when they answered the BVB members popped up.
"HIIIIIIIIIII!!!" they all shouted at us, which we replied in the same way louder.
Right then and there we had a mini competition of who could say 'hi' the longest, which we obviously won. In the conversation, they had told us that they were going to be in our town for two more weeks. Also, they had told us that they would take us shopping, seeing that I had lost everything in the fire. We had talked for about an hour and a half until we had finally decided to call it a night.
As soon as my head hit the pillow, I fell asleep, dreaming of today.

Scars are there to remind us of what it used to be. In other words, they are souvenirs for our memories.
