A/N: Anything that is not bold is Korean. Thank you enjoy!
Haruto's POV
I let go of Akane's wrist, then watched as she took off.
I stood there, trying to understand the meaning behind those spoken words.
I heard her voice crack, just a little. I knew she was ready to cry, but I didn't say anything.
She bumped into Asahi, but she didn't look back. Asahi only looked at her, then looked at me.
He walked up, only to suddenly speak.
Asahi: Was that the girl?
Haruto: Yes.
Asahi is my cousin, from my father's side. He found out that Airi hasn't been herself the past four months, and three weeks ago she even stopped baking with my mom.
Mother and father were worried, but I only explained that Airi was missing her friend.
Airi wasn't speaking, laughing, or even baking anymore. It pissed me off.
For four months Airi came to see Akane, but Akane avoided both of us at all costs.
For now, I had to find a way where Airi will see Akane again.
~Time Skip~
Nighttime rolled in, and I was walking home.
A small white bag was in my hand, filled with Airi's favorite snacks.
The streets had cars once in a while, and the street lamps illuminated the sidewalks.
I would see middle schoolers, high schools, even families, walking down the street laughing and joking with one another.
While I continue my way home. Turning the corner, the empty public park comes into view.
It was the closest one from my home, and the memories of me and my younger sister playing there always makes me smile.
I turned away and looked forward. Only to slow down, as I see someone walk out of the park.
But of course, it could be just a random civilian enjoying their alone time.
I walked down the sidewalk, then realized that so was the random person. I didn't mind, since many people walk in the opposite directions everyday.
As we neared each other, I heard a voice coming from the person.
It sounded so familiar.
I felt my phone vibrate, indicating I had gotten a message. I pulled it out and saw a text message from my mom. Asking me if I was close to the house.
I quickly text back, then placed my phone back in my pocket before starting to walk again.
But as I looked up, the random person came into clear view.
Just three feet away from me, Akane was walking slowly with a phone next to her ear.
She didn't notice me, but a few minutes later she did. She stopped, a foot away from me, holding her phone, as she only looked on.
Then, she began walking again, this time she quickly passed next to me. The air then lingers of a watermelon scent, that smelled so sweet.
I turned back, only to see her hop into a car, then leaving the park. Due to the night, and the lack of lighting I couldn't see who it was.
