Many times in your life you had played the role of girlfriend. Many times in your life you have dressed nicely to impress your family. The common theme of all these meetings was that you were nervous. All the times you were introduced to the family as a girlfriend, you were terrified. You were more than nervous that day. You've been sick a few times just thinking about what was to come that day.
Hailey had calmed you down countless times that morning on the edge of the tub as you tried to calm your nerves. Never in your entire existence have you worried. But today you made it."Why do I have to do this? Why can't they just come over here? Why can't he just show them a nice picture of me and be done with it?" You groaned.
"Y/n you've been together for 5 months now, it's about time you meet his parents. I met her and his sister and they are wonderful." She smiled.
"Yes, but you weren't introduced as a girlfriend, you were just a friend."You stared out the window and watched the breeze blow through the trees as you waited for Harry to arrive. Your stomach clenched as scenarios played out in your head over and over again.
After waiting a few minutes, Harry's car pulled up in the apartment's driveway. They watched as he parked the car and got out while he put his keys in his pocket and walked to the front door."Hailey. He's here." you breathed.
Hailey gave you a warm smile as she got up to open the door."Hi, Harry! Come in!"
As Harry entered the apartment you turned your head to meet his eyes fixed on you, a smirk on his face.
"Are you ready?", he smiled. You nodded in response and reached for your purse. You walked around the coffee table and in front of him. He reached out and pulled you into a hug while Hailey waited patiently at the door."Have fun you two! Enjoy your trip up there!" She smiled.
As they both walked out the door, Hailey grabbed Harry's arm."She's a little nervous, Harry. Vomited three times this morning.", she whispered.
Harry escorted you out of the apartment and into the car."I'm looking forward to today, you'll finally see where I grew up!"You nodded while keeping your eyes out the window, watching the trees and houses go by... You didn't want to say much. You could not. Your tongue was heavy and you felt like you were going to be sick again.
"Bug, what's up?" murmured Harry, putting his hand on your thigh."Nothing," you whisper, "I'm okay.""You seem a bit off though. 'Is the thing?'
You snort as Harry urges you to tell him what's going on."I'm nervous, okay? I am nervous. I've felt sick three times today just thinking about it and I'll probably get sick again."
Harry's gaze shifted from you back to the street a few times. His eyebrows drew together in concern.
"Don't be nervous, okay? They are happy to meet you. Mum has been calling me for weeks wanting to know when she can meet you." He chuckled. You stare out the window and don't know what to say next."What if they don't like me? What if they think my personality sucks." You panicked."Babe, I promise they won't think badly of you. They will love you." He smiled and took your hand and squeezed it reassuringly.
