"Lulu don't you dare get Harry Pot-," Annie called out to her daughter, sighing when Luella closed the car door, only to open it again and stick her head through.
"I don't even know what Harry Pot is," Lu commented sarcastically shrugging with her lips sucked in. "But it doesn't sound very appropriate for a family movie night, including Stiles and Scott, so," Luella trailed off with a mischievous grin, closing the car door once again.
Annie shook her head an hopped out of the car to walk over to the drug store on the other side of the road, right across from the video store Lu was planning on buying from.
Luella bit her lip and watched her mother get closer and closer to the road, then she shook her head and jogged after her. "Maman," she called, appearing by the woman's side.
Annie clicked her tongue off the roof of her mouth at Luella, giving her a motherly look. "Lu," she dragged out warningly, causing Luellas jaw to drop in feigned offense, raising her hands in surrender.
"I just-," Lu went to defend herself, getting cut off by a stern tone.
"How many times have I told you I don't need you to walk me across roads," Annie questioned, raising her eyebrows, smirking when Luella stuffed her hands in her pockets and kicked a stone on the rubble, staring down at it. Luella thought fast and said the first excuse that came to mind.
"Maybe I wanna come to the chemist to make sure you buy the right vitamin gummy bears," Lu muttered lowly, but loud enough for Annie to pick up on.
Annie smiled up at her daughter and reached out to place her hands on Luella's shoulders, spinning her around to face the video store. "Go on and rent Chamber of secrets just for five minutes of young Tom Riddle," she laughed, pushing a rosy cheeked Luella forward lightly.
"Go on I'll be fine Lulu, stop worrying," Annie paused and glanced down at the doodles Lu covered her arm in with black marker. "And stop drawing on yourself-," she let out a puff of air, seeing the girls grin. "What's the point," she laughed. "Just go."
Luella strolled forward, smiling to herself. She glanced over her shoulder and watched as Annie made her way across the road and into the drug store safely. When Lu turned back around, a familiar car caught her eye, well more like the strawberry blonde who was sitting in it gazing out at her.
Lydia bit her lip and fixed her hair as Luella jogged up to her window, both hands still in her front pockets. Lydia rolled down the window to give Lu one of her famous sweet smiles, Lu giving her a smirk right back.
"Who was that," Lydia quipped, obviously having watched Luellas previous interaction. "Your Grandmother?"
Lu let out a chuckle that warmed Lydias cheeks. "No, no, my Maman-, my mom," she corrected herself.
Lydia gazed up at her for a moment or two, not saying a word, then mimicked Luella's smirk. "Aren't you the cutest," she expressed teasingly, earning another happy chuckle from Lu.
