Today we want the sun in the day
and the moon at night
and the stalks to sway
and the coconuts to grow with water.
We want Lolita with teeth
to chew the beautiful meat
that dwells in Pepe’s cellar.
We want everything normal,
in its measure,
like the night with stars
and the little fish in the water.
