I thought I knew what I wanted out of life, that I knew what I wanted my future to be like.

I was supposed to live with my parents till I graduate, then go to college, and start a career, and life of my own. My life wasn't supposed to turn out this badly. I wasn't supposed to fuck up the happiness for the rest of my family.

I blame myself for the death of my father. Everyday I think it's my fault. If I just would had stayed awake and not let him fall asleep at the wheel. I shouldn't have gone to that party that late at night. It's my fault he was on the rode, and it's my fault that he fell asleep.

It's my fault he's dead. It's my fault that my family might never recover from this. Everyone always tells me it was an accident waiting to happen. I know that's not what it was at all.
I was the one who called him to pick me up at 2 in the morning.

If I had just listened to my father and not have gone to that party, there would have never been a car accident and my father would still be alive. My family would be happy again like they were before. I wouldn't be moving 100,000 miles from my home, and my family wouldn't be broken.

How do you recover from something like that. What's the point of trying to get over it? We are moving to Virginia and it's been five months since the accident I still blame myself for everything that happened on that night. Will I always live with this guilt? Will my family always be broken and hurt because of my stubbornness?
