Chapter 5- Plain Trouble
Lexi's POV:

I wish I could understand what he's going through. It's really hard for me to know how to help when I have no idea what he is thinking or how he's feeling.

I thought that moving to a different place would give him new opportunities and help him to get over the past. Shawn hasn't talked to me since the incident at school.

"Shawn lets go it's time for school!" I yelled getting no response. "Shawn c'mon we are going to be late." Still no answer. I walked up the stairs and stormed into his bead room. The window was open and he wasn't there.

I tried calling him on his phone but it went straight to voice mail. "Damn it Shawn where are you?" I was getting worried now I called my mom but I knew she would probably be busy because she was on a business trip.

"Mom hello mom?" "Hey! What's up! It's Crystal I'm currently busy but if you leave your name and your message I'll call you back as soon as I can thank you."

I hate that voice mail so much ugh. I was getting angry and I didn't know what to do. I called my mom again and this time left a message.

"Hey mom, it's Lexi again. I'm really worried about Shawn he's having another of his dark times and this time I'm really scared mom. I don't know what to do, I really think you need to come home. Okay bye love you, miss you.

I didn't know what to do so I walked to school I was hoping that I would find him there. I walked the usual route to school but Matthew didn't walk to school like he usually does. This scared me because Shawn was really mad that Matt had attacked him.

The thought that Shawn could be with Matthew getting his pay back scared the shit out of me because even though Shawn is taller than Matthew, Matthew is way stronger and can clearly kick Shawn's ass without trying.

I arrived at school and there was no sight of Matthew or Shawn anywhere. I started freaking out, what if Shawn goes to jail or Matthew beats him up really bad.

I left school and headed over to Matthew's house hoping that Shawn was there saying sorry or something. I got to Matthew's house and knocked on the door. His mom answered. "Hello Mrs. Espinosa, Have you by any chance seen Shawn this morning? "Yes actually he came by about 25 minutes ago he said that he was going to walk to school with Matt.

"Oh no. Shawn wasn't at home this morning and neither him or Matthew are at school. There was a fight yesterday afternoon at school between Shawn and Matthew. Shawn was very angry and I'm very worried that he and Matthew are somewhere together fighting."

"Okay come in I will call Matt and ask him where he is." Matt's mom called him and he didn't pick up. She hung up then called the police, this made me even more scared because if the police found them they would probably find out that Shawn started it and he will go to jail.

"They are on there way down here." "Okay I'm going to go get changed I'm not going to school today." "It will be okay honey don't worry, we will find them." "I know." I tried to keep my tears in but it wasn't working I started to cry and Matthew's mother hugged me. It was the first time in forever I felt like I actually had nobody.
