Chapter 1- The Move
Lexi's POV:
---
So this is the day, the big moving day.
moving from California to Virginia is going to be really hard for me, I don't make friends as easy as most people do. It's also a different time zone in Virginia so that's the going to be hard.

Even though I'm really sad to leave Cali I guess it's good because moving to a new place means a new start, and I won't have to be reminded of what happened last summer every time I drive on the rode or even see a picture of my dad.

"Here we are" my mom said with a lot of enthusiasm.

When I got out of the car I was amazed at the sight of the house. I had seen pictures of it, but none of the pictures look nearly as beautiful as it looked in real life. It was huge. I could definitely tell that this was a really rich neighborhood by the sizes of the houses and the cars in the drive ways.

Maybe this place won't be so bad after all, I began to think to myself.

"Okay, let's start bringing the boxes in and unpacking. I want to finish as soon as possible." My mom said. Following her orders, I began to bring stuff into the huge house. The more I walked inside the house the more amazing it got.

There was a total of six bedrooms and four bathrooms. The room I picked had light blue walls and a lime green fuzzy carpet. My favorite part of the room was the private bathroom which had a hot tub as well as a bathtub and other bathroom accessories.

I began unpacking my stuff, and I started to put my clothes in my new closet. When I opened the closet it was pretty much as big as my old room in California. I became curious when I saw a name drawn across the closet door with a little heart on the side of it.

The name read 'Matthew Espinosa' I wandered who it was. Was it the person that useful to live here? The more I thought about that name the more curious I became because the name seemed strangely familiar. It was like I have heard that name before but I couldn't quite figure out from where.

All the thinking was giving me a head ace so I decided I would change my clothes and check out the outside of the house.

I changed into some jean shorts I had gotten for my birthday, with my white vans crop top, and slipped on my black vans. "Lexi I'm going outside do you want to come?" My brother shouted from down stairs. "I'm on my way" I said in reply.

I joined my brother outside and saw that the person who lived on the side of us was outside playing basketball. It was a boy who was about 5'11 ish. I wasn't sure wether to go say hi or to just continue to check out the outside of our new house.

Before I could make the choice my brother Shawn headed toward him. "Shawn where are you going?" "I'm going to go meet our new neighbor." Of course Shawn was going to make a new friend the first day we move to a new state. My brother always makes friends so quickly. He's more of the popular type that everyone likes, and wants to be. Me on the other hand I don't make friends as easy and never really fitted in with the popular crowd.

I was hoping that this move would be different. I wanted to make a lot of new memories here and not have to worry about thinking of my dad every day, and letting the guilt and pain eat me alive. I wanted to just be myself and make new memories with new friends.

When we got to the boy playing basketball I saw how physically attractive he was. I have never seen anyone as charming and as good looking as this boy. Then I started thinking of the name I had seen on my closet door earlier and it clicked. I knew who he was.
