Y/N's POV (One Week Before Camilo's Birthday)

I wake up to the sound of my annoying alarm clock. Luckily it shuts off after one hard smack. Yawning, I sit up and gaze around my room. My gaze locks onto my calendar seeing today circled in bright red marker. Oh, we have to go to Encanto today. I sigh and get out of bed, slowly making my way towards my closet. As I'm getting dressed I notice a few birds fly past my window. Lucky. I wonder how nice it feels to be that free. I shake my head and glance at the mirror, dusting myself off a bit. I make my way to the bathroom where I brush my teeth, wash my face, fix my hair, and tidy myself anymore that I need to. Yawning once more, I make my way downstairs. There, I see Maria, our maid making breakfast. "Oh good morning Maria. Thank you for starting breakfast." I glance over her shoulder and see she's made crepes sided with fruity(lol gay) pancakes. She smiles and shares me a small glance, "You're very welcome miss Velasco. And a very good morning to you as well." I sigh, slightly frowning in the process. "Maria, how many times do I have to remind you to call me Y/N. There's no need for such formalities here." She laughs and nods. Once she finished cooking I tell her to go wake everyone else while I set the table. (Time skip to when you're done) I set down the last plate and take my seat at the end of the table. Not long after, I hear footsteps of my siblings. Maria comes down with Lily and Arlo following not far behind, taking their spots at the table. "Good morning you two" I smile and watch as they both repeat a 'good morning' to me and each other. "If both of you are awake now, there's actually a busy day ahead of us." They all turn towards me, "Well, at about 2PM we have to set out for Encanto. Camilo's birthday is next week, and we'll be staying with them for the time being." Arlo yawns and nods his head. "So while you two are at school, I'll pack your bags and clean up the house. Maria, I'm sure you can take care of the town while we're gone?" I glance towards Maria, she nods in response.

(Time skip to after dinner)

"Arlo! Lily! Let's go okay?" Their school starts at around 8, so we should leave soon. I open the front door, turn around, and see both Lily and Arlo running towards me. "We're Here! We're here!" they yell. I laugh, knowing I wasn't going to leave them anyways. We yell goodbye to Maria before taking off. The main plaza isn't too far from our house, it's a good distance where me, Lily, and Arlo can walk to school every morning. I wave to some of the shopkeepers who are opening up, they smile and wave back. "Arlo! Lily! Y/N! Wait up!" Me and my siblings turn around to see Abigail running towards us. "Can I walk to school with you guys? My dad can't walk me because he has extra work today." I nod and gesture for her to walk beside me. She giggles and follows my lead. Somehow, during our walk to school, we ended up having 5 other village kids come with us. Not that I mind, it's just more than usual. Finally, after a few minutes we arrive. "Okay everyone! Time for you all to go to school. Have fun and pay attention okay?" They all respond with 'okay' or 'alrighty'. I smile and wave at the sight of all of them heading inside the school building. I'll head home, pack our bags, then help some of the villagers if I have time.

I skip through the town, admiring all the vibrant colors and detailed designs of each building. My personal favorite is señorita Victoria's gardening shop. I love gardening, it's lots of fun when you get used to it. My personal favorite plants are flowers, they're all so unique. Each and everyone of them has a different pattern, size, and shape. With the right amount of patience and focus a flower can grow beautifully very fast. However, a flower can wither just as fast as it can grow, so taking care of your flowers daily are a must. Before I know it I'm already at my front door. I guess I rambled about gardening for a long time. I head upstairs into Lily's room. There, I take out her suitcase and began packing. (Time skip to when you're done with both of their suitcases) There, that's enough for about 8 days. I know we're only going to be there for 7 but we should always stay prepared. I smile proudly and carry the luggage downstairs, setting by the front door.

I jog upstairs into my bedroom, and swing open my closet doors. I grab a medium sized suitcase and begin to fetch my things. I put my clothes, facial care, and haircare items in the suitcase, shut my closet doors, and carry my luggage downstairs. Once I'm downstairs I set my suitcase next to Lily and Arlo's. As I open the front door I turn around and see Maria rushing down the stairs to come help me. I smile while picking up two of the luggage's and walking towards the carriage. It's a simple 6 seater carriage pulled by a horse. Maria walks up to me and hands me the last suitcase, I place it on top of the carriage with the others. Now that all our stuff is packed I can go help out some villagers.

(Time skip to when Y/N, Arlo, and Lily are all together at the carriage)

We all take our seats, Lily in front of me, and Arlo next to me. I look over at Arlo, "Are you ready? If you get tired let me know, there's some pillows in the overhead." He looks at me and smiles. "Yeah! It's been so long since we've seen Antonio's family." I laugh, noticing how he drags the 'o' in 'so'. Antonio, Arlo, and Lily all get along quite well. Despite how different their personalities are, they seem to be great friends. Personally I stay next to Mirabel and Camilo, mostly Mirabel but Camilo's alright. I stare out the window and watch as the trees zoom by, out of my view. Suddenly, something hits my shoulder. It's Arlo. I guess he fell asleep. I smile, and move him onto my lap. (Time skip to in Encanto but not at the Madrigal house yet)  I glance towards the sky. Mrs. Pepa must be in a good mood, the sky still looks pretty clear. That's nice. I feel my eyes get heavier as the town of Encanto comes into view. No matter how hard I try my eyes end up closing. Guess I'll just have to be woken up.
