Chapter Five

(Camilo's POV also this chapter's pretty long lol)

As me and Y/N walk hand in hand, I quietly hum (literally any song of your choosing but I recommend dandelions). "You're pretty good and singing chameleon." My eyes widen and I stop to look at Y/N. They're smirking, but not in a smug way. It almost seems like lovestruck smirk but I doubt it would be that. "Thanks" I manage to stutter out, returning my gaze to the path ahead. "Well we should continue, the field shouldn't be too far from here. Y/N smiles. "You know. You're actually the one who showed me this place. I'm not sure if you remember seeing that we were like 10 when you did." Y/N simply responds with a 'hm' and 'did I?' I nod, "Yeah you did! You brought me there to comfort me. Funny seeing how it's my comfort spot now." We both lightly laugh, walking by the last few trees. 

"Oh, we're here now." Y/N shifts their gaze from me to the area in front of us. "Really? Let me see.." Their voice quiets as I watch their eyes widen. "Oh yeah. I remember this place now. I brought you here to apologize for that fight we had." I laugh and rub my neck, that fight was a harsh one. "Yeah I still remember it like it was yesterday. Funny seeing how it was like 9 years ago."(when they were 12)Their gaze hardens, a frown growing on their face. "You know, I uh. Don't hate you, right?" My eyes widen, does she think I hate her? "Uh, yeah. Why?" Y/N looks at me. Their eyes filled with guilt and hate, but not hate for me. Suddenly they hug me. "Y/N!?" I stutter. "What are you.." I stop talking once I realize they just want a quiet moment. I carefully wrap my arms around them and sit down, carefully placing them in between my criss-crossed legs. They rest their head on my shoulder , arms still holding onto my torso. 

(Flash back moment?? Camilo's POV. Also HARD angst warning)

My eyes widen. Anita, my best friend was crying right in front of me. "Anita what's wrong!?" I crouch down and stroke her back calmingly. "Y/N, they" Anita sniffles, "they yelled at me! They told me to stay away from you because I'm a bad person!" Y/N? "Oh, okay." There's no way YN would do that, but Anita is saying they did. Maybe, they, did? "How about we go confront them about this?" Anita stands up, she seems scared? "No! Y/N will hurt me if they see me with you!" "hurt you?" I grab Anita's hand and tell her I won't let Y/N do anything to her. She calms down and hugs me tightly, I can't believe Y/N would do something like this to Anita. I angrily enter casita and see Y/N happily talking to Mirabel. "Y/N, can I talk to you please? Alone." I emphasize the last word while glaring at Mirabel. She squeaks and runs upstairs. I watch Y/N mood immediately turn upset once she lays eyes on Anita. "Anita? Why is she here? Camilo get away from her" I cut her off "No! How could you? Anita is a great person? She's done nothing wrong!" Y/N's eyes widen with both shock, and betrayal?

(Y/N's POV)

Nothing wrong? Nothing wrong!? Anita ruined my life! What is he on about? Did she get to him!? "Camilo what are you talking about!? Did she say something? I'm telling you whatever she said she's lying! Anita is a lying, manipulative, selfish, bully!" Camilo looks at me in disbelief. "Y/N the only person who's a lying, manipulative, selfish, bully is you! Anita has never done anything wrong! You're just jealous I hang out with her more! Leave Anita alone!" M-me? I feel the tears build up in my eyes, but I don't let them fall. "Camilo please! You have to believe me! Anita ruined my life! Please you're all I have. Don't leave me for her. She's just going to use you." My voice begins to break as I feel hot tears run down my face. "She used to be my best friend! But she just used me for popularity and money! She wants nothing to do with you! Please don't get used. Please Camilo. Please Cami.."  Camilo's eyes harden with anger and hate. "Don't call me that. Only Anita can. And how dare you accuse someone as kind as Anita of doing something like that? She would never use me for popularity! Just stop!" My vision blurs as tears fill up my eyes, staining my face, and dripping onto the floor beneath me. "Camilo..please. Please don't do this to me. Please don't do this to yourself. I'm begging you." His gaze stays hateful as he scoffs, "You have some nerve. Get out of my home. Get out of my town! Leave! Leave and don't you ever come back! Do you hear me? I never want to see your pitiful face ever again." He raises an arm to point me towards the doors. Anita holding onto his vaccinate arm. I step towards him and reach out my hand, "Camilo. I know you don't me-" slap. He hit my hand away, disgust filling his eyes. "I said leave."
