How am I supposed to know what to do? It's only been what, a few days since I was chosen? I still don't even know why I was chosen. Through the darkness I felt a tug. Like it was leading me to where I needed to be. I don't know how long I've been walking or how long I've been gone. Sooner or later I will be found. I put my hand in front of me and I fall forward. I hit every rock as I went rolling down. My body slammed onto the ground as I came to a stop. A gasp escaped my lips at the moment of impact. I had no doubt that I was covered in bumps, bruises, and cuts. I picked myself up then felt a breeze. It wasn't a cold breeze and it didn't feel like a breeze either. From the darkness emerged these beautiful powerful glowing purple eyes. I was breathless. The power from those eyes alone is enough to make anyone think twice. I feel powerless but at the same time, I feel powerful.

After all this time and you're still a weakling.

I gulped. Was I not what was expected? How did I already piss off a dragon. My dragon. How did I know it was my dragon? Let's just call it intuition. "What do you mean weakling?!" I shouted.

Do not yell at me girl. I've been alive for more years than you can count. But now that you've been discovered, it will be time for you to step up and begin a journey you yourself were never meant to take.

I must have had a puzzled look on my face for my dragon inhales deeply and released that same breath. Why does he sound so conflicted, yet already defeated before we've even had the chance to bound ourselves to each other. Something in my chest caves but another part of me refuses to coward away. I've already accepted my fate by walking through the gates and dooming my future before I even know what my future holds. Perhaps that was a mistake.

They're looking for you. I'll summon you another time.

"Another time? Why can't you just come with me?" I asked. But before I could get a response,  I became blind. I was pushed with his snout and was lead out from wherever I was being held. I was walking through the woods. Stepping on every branch and leaf on the ground. The moonlight barely illuminates the way for me. My eyes start to get heavy and I can only assume that I'm a good distance away from my previous location. I hit the ground out cold. But before I could go fully unconscious, I heard his voice once again.

You must first discover who you are. Your secrets will be revealed.

I heard the chirping of birds and sunlight shining. I opened my eyes and blinked until my eyes adjusted to the light. I looked around. Stone walls, a window open with a bird on the ledge, and soft wool blanket covering me. Only then did I realized that I was not clothed, instead I was covered in bandages and the smell of herbs coming from it. What happened to me? Where is everyone? Where am I? I pulled the blanket off me and thankfully only the upper half of me was not clothed. Doesn't make things better considering I know not where I am. Voiced echoed from behind the door and I sprung into action hiding behind where the door will swing open, ready to pounce. "Is she awake?" a voice asked, Alyizran. "Sir, she might be. We did hear movement inside." a deeper voice replied. "Well don't stand there! Open the door!". Keys rattled followed by a click. I was locked inside? The door swung open and Alyizan walked in. I stayed quiet and waited until he was further from the door. "Empty. Who left the window open?!". He was irritated. I quietly moved from my hiding spot. I had to escape. I had a gut feeling I did something that caused Alyizran to deem it necessary to lock me away...again. The floor creaked underneath me and I cursed under my breath. Alyizran spun around. I steadied my feet, shoulder width apart. Hand into a fist, I cocked my arm back, letting my hip and waist power my punch in one motion seconds later. Direct contact with his nose. Alyizran cursed and covered his nose. Without hesitation I ran. I heard him yelling orders then foorsteps running after me. I somehow knew where I was headed. I ran down the hall and the 3 flights of stairs I had walked last night in the trace. I was panting heavily but I couldn't stop or I would be caught. "Stop!" the two guards at the front entrance shouted pulling out their swords from their sheath. Prepared to be stabbed, I didn't stop. I sped up and slid underneath their swords and right out the open doors.

With seconds to think, I used the ledge of the stairs and used it as a slide all the way down. And yes, it did hurt as they were stone stairs. In front of me I saw a field and people fighting each other, no not fighting, training. There were also dragons on the field. Nearing the ground, I braced myself to roll and continue running. As I rolled and stood up, the guards behind continued shouting at me to stop. Where Alyizran is I do not know or care. I cared about my freedom. I began frantically looking for the way I left last night but I could not see it. Instead everyone began to look towards the commotion. Someone grabbed my arm and I elbowed them. Once freed, I began running again.

"Alron! Kalinth!" I shouted and prayed that they were near by. There was a ground of eight people that were training and three of them stopped what they were doing and looked in my direction. As I was getting closer, two of the them began running towards me. "Alron! Kalinth!" I shouted once more. Suddenly, the ground shook and I nearly lost my balance. A hand grabbed my wrist and spun me around only for my face to collide with a fist. I fell backward onto my ass. "Hey!" Kalinth shouted. He ran passed me and tackled whoever my attacker was. I wiped my mouth and saw blood. Looking at where Kalinth was, I saw that he was on top of my attacker and punching him in the face. People began running towards my brother and the other person. A hand gently grabbed my chin and turned my face. I looked into concerning green eyes. Alron.
