Hurt/comfort (kinda?) fluff

3rd person POV

Auradon Prep was filled to the brim with people, games, fancy foods, and a little upbeat music. Students and their families were spread out along the school, some in the courtyard, and some exploring the school. For today, was none other than Parents Day.

This was the day when all the families of the students would visit the school for a day. This meant- of course, no classes, much to everyone's relief.

It had been a little over 2 years since the VK's had arrived at Auradon. Mal had been busy with Ben, talking to the families. "Royal duties" as Ben called it. While she was handling that, the other 3 VK's were enjoying themselves- but specifically the large chocolate fountain. Jay and Carlos would stick food after food in there, and practically swallow it whole. Evie found this disgusting, but didn't say anything.

However they were soon called to Fairy Godmother's office, interrupting their little feast. They began to make their way to the office.

"What do you think she wants?" Jay asked, licking chocolate off his fingers. "No idea- and use a napkin!" Evie scolded, shoving a tissue in his arms. They stopped walking when they made it to the large wooden doors at the end of the hall. A sign, which read "Fairy Godmother" was placed right next to the doors.

The 3 entered the room, and saw Fairy Godmother standing in front of a large screen. When she noticed them, she turned to them quickly. "Oh! Just in time, children." She smiled. "Uhm, yes. What's all this?" Evie asked.

"Ah yes! Your parents have requested that they speak to you, as they missed last years parents day." This left Carlos, Jay and Evie in slight shock. Their parents had never showed much interest before, so why now? "I've just gotten the call set up, they should be calling any minute."

As if on cue, 3 familiar faces popped up on the screen. "Is it working?" They heard Evil Queen ask.

"It appears so...hello, Fairy Godmother." Cruella sneered. Fairy Godmother's smile quickly faltered, and she awkwardly excused herself. "Um, I'll leave you children to it. Good day." She nodded, before rushing out of the room. The 3 VK's watched her leave, and hesitantly turned back to the screen once the door shut.

"Oh my Hades, Evie my dear child how I missed you!" Evil queen gushed. Evie smiled slightly, nodding at her mother. "Hello, mother."

"Ah, jay! Good to see you son." Jafar greeted, grinning widely. "Hey, dad." Jay responded, forcing a smile. Lastly, Cruella turned to Carlos. "Awww Carlos, my sweet little baby. How I've missed you!" Carlos perked up at those words. A slight spark of hope flickered in his heart, as he'd been longing to hear her say that for a long time. "Really?" He asked. "Why of course! My car hasn't shined since the day you left, Jasper and Horace just haven't been cutting it." She grinned, giggling at the end.

Carlos's expression visibly faltered. 'Guess I got my hopes up...again.' Evie, noticing her friends expression, patted his back sympathetically. "Thanks, mom..."

"Of course! Oh- I don't assume your still hanging about with that little vermin still, are you?" It was obvious she was talking about Dude. "You mean dude? Yes, I still do, he's my best friend." Carlos replied bitterly. Cruella rolled her eyes. "Carlos we've been over this- dogs are rabid,horrible-"

"Let me guess, fur coats? No one even wears those any more." The boy retorted. Offended, Cruella brought a hand up to her chest surprised. "How dare you talk back to me like that! I'm your mother, child."

"Then why don't you act like one..." Carlos muttered, looking to the floor. "Excuse me?" Cruella shouted, but Evie quickly stepped in. "-Anyways! Um, how have you been, Jafar?" She said, stepping in front of Carlos. Jafar quickly began rambling about the shop, but Carlos payed no attention. His mind stayed on his mother.

All his life he had issues with her. She saw him more as a servant than anything, and he knew it. Every year on his birthday, instead of wishing for money like most of the other people on the Isle, he would wish for one simple thing. For his mother to finally say, "I love you"

That never happened, of course, but a man can dream. He had moved on soon enough, but now the same feelings came rushing back. Carlos stayed silent the rest of the meeting, ignoring any comments directed at him. And when the call was finally over, he rushed out of the room.

(Ok it kinda turns to 2nd person POV from here on- so sorry about that)

He walked down the hallways, eventually making it to the dorm rooms. He searched for your door, looking at each number. When he finally arrived to your dorm, he knocked on the door roughly. After a few moments you opened the door, peeking your head out of the opening. "Carlos?"

His eyes were slightly red, as he had been holding back tears the entire way there. Seeing this, you quickly opened the door and gestured for him to come inside. He began pacing around your room, fidgeting with his fingers. You sat down on your bed, watching him intently. He didn't say anything just paced and paced and paced.

Eventually you had enough. "Carlos." He stopped and turned to look at you. "What's wrong?" He stayed quiet for a minute before finally speaking. "U-um, we were video chatting with our parents and stuff and um...me and my mom got i-in a fight..." he said, fidgeting with his hands. You looked at him sympathetically, before opening your arms. He looked up at you, before leaping forward and embracing you tightly.

You laid back on the bed and wrapped your arms around him tightly. He was laying on top of you, hugging you and crying into your chest. "I-I just wanted her to love me...is that really too much to a-ask?" He cried. You could feel his tears staining your shirt, and in response you rubbed his back gently.

You stayed there for a while, Carlos' trying to speak but it getting mixed up with his sobs. You listened patiently, cause it was clear that he really needed it right now. It was another 10 minutes before he started to calm down, and you could feel his breathing and heart beat begin to slow down. You continued to rub his back, and played with his hair a little.

It was almost as if he melted into your touch, as he snuggled into your chest. "...I love you." You blurted out. Carlos looked up at you, slightly shocked. "What?" He asked. "I-I love you, Carlos. Even if she doesnt, I do. Same with Evie, Jay and Mal. We all do." You said, a small hint of red spreading across your face.

He didn't respond, instead he just looked at you for another moment, smiling lightly. He then snuggled his face into your chest again, hugging you more. "...I love you too." He said, the words being muffled by your shirt. You looked down at him shocked, before a large grin spread across your face. You leaned down and pressed a kiss to his forehead, before pulling him closer to you.

"Glad to hear it"

*~*~Bonus~*~*

"Hey y/n? Have you seen Carlos, we can't find him any whe-" Evie stepped into the room, her sentence being cut short once she saw the 2 sleeping teens cuddling on the bed. She smiled to herself, before stepping back out of the room. 'My ship is sailing'

"Did you find him?" Jay asked, walking up to her from down the hall. "Yep, he's fine. Nothing to worry about."
