Chapter 12 Born Again

Tuesday: I wake up, put on my battle clothes, and also eat breakfast. Jack walks into my room and he says are you ready to go? yes, I am ready. I follow him out of the room and we go to the grappling room. Joseph says quin I'm gonna make you go see your dead lover. Jack says why would you say some-. shut up jack real quick I'm going to show OP ZERO a little respect. Joseph pulls his blades out and he says I will cut you down to size. So you're going to try to kill me while I am unarmed? Joseph rushes at me and he says it's easier to kill you. I dodge his first slice and I kick him in the face sending him flying. Joseph grapples to the floor and pulls himself towards me. I dodge him and I punch him in the stomach and he coughs up blood. I grab his neck and slam him on the floor and I start repeatedly punching him while he is on the floor there is blood everywhere Hannah says you are going to kill him, quin. I get up and I walk over to Hannah. How would you like it if someone said something about your dead loved one you would kill them right you would beat them till they couldn't walk the earth anymore. 

Joseph tries to get up. I step on his stomach and I kick him in the head. I grab my grapple gun and I ask Jack if he's ready to start the training. Jack says this will be a battle royal but teaming is allowed whoever is the last one standing wins. Can I kill my whole team? Everyone on my team is shocked but Jack says unfortunately you cannot kill anyone. Aw man, you guys are lucky I can't kill you. Jack says on 3 anything goes (except killing of course) 1! 2! 3! GOOOO!! Joseph gets up and rushes me. I use my giant power in my right leg and kick him into the wall. I grapple to the buildings in the arena and I taunt the other team members giving them a little bit of incentive to catch up to me Hannah comes full force at me with most of her giant armor already formed. She is about frame 5, maybe 4 but she doesn't know that I'm on frame 5. My giant armor forms around me and my yellow lighting wraps around my swords and we clash our swords but I knee her in her stomach and I cut up her arms. 

I put my guns in my holster, grab her head and fling her into another building. The last 3 of my squadmates rush at me. I dodge them but it's a 1v3 and everyone is about on the same frame so I am kind of outmatched. One by one they come rushing at me. I dodge most of their attacks until I find an opening in Williams's attack then I start going offensive, cutting all 4 of the soldiers up. I kicked Williams's head into the pavement. Cindy gets stabbed through the stomach and her face punched into a wall. I throw Nick through buildings until Jack forces Nick to forfeit. After 15 minutes of the bots making sure no one was dead, Jack congratulated me on winning the battle royal. Everyone eventually comes back and Nick says we can't even compare why we even exist. Jack says each one of you guys has the potential to be stronger than her none of you guys are trying hard enough quin is always trying her hardest but it comes off as she is easily beating you guys. Jack, when is our next mission? Jack says your next mission is really up in the air at this moment in time so you can really do whatever inside the CHAOS base or outside all of you guys. cool thanks jack guess I will see you punks later I'm going to get stuff for my room. I grapple out of there and I go to the cafe that I and Samantha went to on our first date. 

The barista is still there. She says hey long time no see why is the tall blonde girl with you. She passed away a couple of months ago. I have been kind of in a funk since that happened. the barista says I'm so sorry for your loss I was wondering why you stopped coming back. it honestly sucks we used to do everything together but anyways to get off this sad topic how have you been doing. The barista says I have been good. I have been talking to this boy. His name is Amir. He is a really cool buff guy with tattoos. I met him through a mutual friend and we hang out sometimes. oh, that's really cool. Do you guys hang out with your friends a lot? Yeah, I hang out with his friends and he hangs out with my friends. It's really cool but sorry I forgot to ask you what you wanted to order. oh yeah, I want a mocha with a double pump of caramel. The barista says I got you coming up. She makes my coffee and hands it to me. I start drinking it but I start remembering the times me and Samantha had at the cafe. 

15 minutes of me and the barista talking about life and stuff I get up and I explore the city for a couple of hours. I'm walking around the city, lights are flashing, everything seems to be moving fast and everyone seems to be happy. not me. I am not happy at all. I need Samantha to keep going. She is why I try my hardest right now. I sit down on a bench next to an elderly woman. She starts talking to me. She says hey young lady, are you sad? I jolted up. Yes, I am sad right now. the elderly woman asks me why are you sad? I lost someone very important to me and now I don't know how to keep going everywhere I go I think of her. The elderly woman says my husband died a few years back. I was sad when he died but eventually, I came to terms with his death. Now I am waiting for my time so I can join him. Oh, that's kind of sad but you're saying I should come to terms with her death? Yes, sweetie, come to terms with it and you will find a little more peace with yourself. Thanks for the advice. I'm going to try and do that. I grapple to the wall and I pull myself into the air swinging through the air effortlessly dodging cars and random drones. I arrive at the chaos base and Jack says we have a new mission and this one is going to be insanely hard.
