WARNING: obscene language

Despite being a man of little words, Lu Si Cheng has many, many, many loyal fans. He didn't care what they had to think about him and his actions.

He explicitly stated that fact on his and his girlfriend's first date before watching— kissing— in the movie theater:

"People make assessments of me because of my behaviors. I do not adjust my behaviors because of their assessments."

It is easy for him to tolerate the hate he receives every now and then. He can live with the assumptions his fans have made about him. He doesn't give a damn of what anyone, and absolutely everyone, has to say about Lu Si Cheng, Chessman, having Tong Yao, Smiling, as his girlfriend.

Tong Yao, on the other hand, has a weak mentality. She's very aware of that trait of hers since even before her exposure to the gaming universe.

She's easily influenced with what the media speculates about her and makes rash decisions to prove them incorrect. A lot of what the media says, however, leans towards the negative side.

It's expected though, considering Tong Yao's the first professional gamer girl in China while also the first girl participating in the National Championships while also immediately setting foot into the e-sports field as an official ZGDX member without any history of mentorship as a substitute. She was a risky move for ZGDX and an icon of hope for women in male-dominant fields.

Therefore, she's a living controversy.

As a living controversy, Tong Yao faces numerous comments of hate. And she has to see it every day. Sometimes the amount of comments being submitted daily get so out of hand that even administration can't block all of them.

Today was one of those days.

The first thing Tong Yao did after she woke up a few hours before noon was reach for her phone on her bedside table for unread messages.

[Lu Si Cheng: Good morning. Come down when you wake. Xiao Pang will eat your breakfast.]

Instantaneously, a smile lit up her face.

[Tong Yao: Alright. Alright.]

Sliding out from under her duvet, she slipped on her fluffy, pink slippers all the while scrolling through the batch of notifications she suddenly received from one of the e-sports communities.

A frown slowly replaced her smile.

She wished she didn't have the habit of scrolling through her phone in the mornings.

[ZGDX is so fucking stupid to bring a little girl into their team]

[Go back into the kitchen, bitch]

[Who do you think you are thinking you're going to make a difference into the e-sports profession? Men are better at games. Someone hire a man instead, get this little slut off the monitor]

[I bet she's there just to fuck all the men. Why else is she 'dating' Lu Si Cheng?]

[Smiling, make me a sandwich. It's what girls like you are born to do.]

[She probably slept her way into the team anyway.]
—> [Response: Who wouldn't? Her cute, innocent face is a turn on.]

Tong Yao's hand rested against her aching stomach and the back of her tongue felt bitter.

[I wish she wore less childish, baggy clothing in her livestreams... then she'd be more useful than her gameplays]

[Show us your milky legs, Smiling!]
