Chapter 6

The bus pulls around a corner and I see Shaylen getting up out of her seat, she reaches for my hand to pull me up and I gladly take it. We walk for about 10 minutes heading in the direction of a stunning white and grey brick house. It's two stories tall, has beautiful landscape, and looks like Shaylen comes from a rich family. Its quite a shock for me because of where I originally came from. She leads me up to the front of the stunning house and takes out a key from around her neck. When she opens the door and we step in side it's... amazing, there's books upon books, Japanese culture everywhere, and a cute little kitten greeting us at the door. "His names Haru," said Shaylen. I pet then kitten for a little while then Shaylen invites me to come to her room and geek out. I'm a big geek myself even though I might not look it with my tough girl appearance. We go up a flight of stairs to the second floor, "Can I get you something to eat or drink?" said Shaylen. "Do you have any pocky, or some strawberry Japanese soda?" I asked. "Well duh, just look in the closet I keep a stash of provisions in there" "Thanks!" I yell but she's already disappeared saying she was going to get her favorite anime for us to watch. I can tell that she's different, but I like different and after about 2 hours of anime, I'm laying on her lap while we try to catch food in our mouths. "It's getting late, I should go" I said. "What about you ask your mom if you can sleep over? Then for dinner I can take you to my favorite sushi place," she said while smiling like a dipshit. I call my mom and she's fine with it since she knows I can take care of myself, she just said to make sure and take my pills that I keep with me. "She said yes!" I scream to Shaylen- I don't know why but she puts of this vibe that makes me feel really happy- lets go call my favorite sushi place to deliver. "What about your parents?" I ask. "They're not here very often with work and all that jazz," she said. She doesn't seem to be phased by the question so I know I didn't upset her.
We get the sushi, clean up, go to sleep with some more anime and pocky, then wake up early enough to get to school. "That was so much fun!" I tell her. "We need to do that again," she said. "I agree." She grabs my hand in hers and we walk in the building together, I see Corbin and Jayden standing by the front doors of the school. Corbin looks at me and Shaylen and her face drops. I wonder what that was about.
