Temple

Things go really bad

"I lost her once. I won't do it again." I said as I wrenched myself from my grandfather's grip.

I flew back into the temple to save Rose before the eclipse ended. Her leg was underneath a wooden column and she couldn't get it free.

I landed by her side and tried to lift the column.

"Jake, it's too late! Let me go." Rose told me desperately. I ignored her and continued to lift and her leg was finally pulled free.

"Come on!" I lifted her and flew towards the closing portal. It was shrinking rapidly.
No no no no no no no no no. I can't make it. I thought to myself. Though I didn't vioce my thoughts to Rose. Rose. I can't make it but she can.

"Rose we have to go one at a time. We can't both fit. Get ready." I told her.

"What? Jake no!" She argued.
One...

"Jake!"
Two...

"Jake, if you do this I will-"
Three!

She was cut off as I threw her through the small space of the portal. I tried to make it through but the connection between the temple and Earth closed and I slammed into the temple wall.

My last thought was lost as darkness consumed me.
