It was a grey day, and everyone was in a bad mood. Camilo and y/n were sitting on Camilos bed, both equally frustrated at one another. Why? Well, y/n had defended Mirabel after Abuela yelled at her, and her chances of being able to stay at the Madrigals home were at stake.

"Why didn't you just stay quiet" Camilo mumbled. He sat, cross legged, opposite y/n, as he picked at the ends of his duvet.

"What do you mean, "stay quiet"? Abuela had no right yelling at Mirabel like that." y/n retorted, turning to face Camilo.

"God Y/n, I'm just saying, none of this would've happened if you just stayed out of my familias business!" Camilo said in a harsh tone, as he glared into his girlfriends e/c eyes.

"Ayo, its not like I wanted to get in the middle of this shit, but it's not like anyone else was going to help Mirabel!" y/n rolled her eyes, and started to walk towards the door.

"oh piss off, its not like you would understand anyways." Camilo said, getting more and more frustrated by the second. Y/n turned around, face full of anger and confusion.

"What the fuck do you mean Camilo. Of course I understand. Everyone treats Mirabel like shit because she isn't "special". What more is there?" Y/N snapped, her eyes full of flames. Camilo lost his temper.

"Fuck off y/n, you DON'T get it! Your just normal, average even. You don't have a gift, your not special. So why don't you keep out of our fucking business, and quite pretending like you know how we feel!"

As soon as the words left his mouth, he regretted it. Y/n stood by the door, eyes watery. No one made a sound for what seemed like forever as silent tears fell on both of their faces.

"Y/n....i-..." Camilo didn't know what to say. He knew he had messed up horribly. Eventually, Y/n spoke up.

"Im...really sorry cami..Im sorry." she whispered, slowly walking towards Camilo. "I shouldn't have pushed you too...yell at me. I'm truly sorry mi amor" At this point, they were directly infront of eachother. Camilo brought a hand up to the h/c haired girld face, and gently wiped a tear away with his thumb.

"No, I'm sorry princesa. I shouldn't have yelled, I didn't mean any of those horrible things I said" He looked down at y/n, as she wrapped her arms around his waist, nuzzling her head into his warm chest.

"I'm really reallyyyy sorry cami." she whispered. Camilo laughed softly before gently stroking her hair and whispering "Stop saying sorry, mi vida. it's over now."

The young girl looked into the shapeshifters eyes. Camilo cupped her soft cheeks, before bringing her into a passionate kiss. His hands moved down to y/N's waist, as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Camilo pulled her closer, deepening the kiss as Y/n tangled her fingers in his soft, brown curls.

Eventually, they pulled away. Camilo pressed his forehead against Y/N's.

"I love you so much." he whispered. Y/n smiled. "I love you too."
