Heavy, distorted breaths are all that could be heard in the dark room. The closet door creaked open slowly, making sure that they were really the only ones in the room. Katsuki climbed out first, turning around to face the two siblings. His carmine orbs widened at the sight of the two of them. He wasn't able to see their faces in the dark, cramped closet, but now he could clearly see the fear and pain on their freckled faces. Haru was clutching onto his sister's shirt as if his life depended on it, burying his face in her shoulder. Quiet sobs could be heard, his small body trembling as thick, salty tears rolled down his face. Akari sat in the corner, curled up and holding her brother protectively. However, she wasn't crying. Her blue orbs were wide with fear, face sickly pale. But she almost looked...dead inside. It was like Akari couldn't even bring herself to tears; she felt so numb, only one feeling emitting inside her. Fear. She was so scared for Haru, her mother and most of all, Katsuki. Someone wants him dead, and that person might actually be her father. The man who she believed died as a noble hero.

The longer the ash-blonde stared at them, the more his heart felt like it was breaking. It was horrible seeing them like this. He crawled towards them, slowly taking the 9 year old boy in one arm, and with the other he helped Akari up. She flinched slightly at the contact, seeming to come back to reality. Heart breaking sobs continued to emit from the little boy in Katsuki's arms, as the taller male began to rub soothing circles on Haru's back.

"You guys can't stay here tonight...or for while." Katsuki breathed out.

The shorter girl looked up at him, his hand still gripped tightly on her own. She nodded slowly in understanding, making her way towards her younger brother's dresser, still trembling slightly. Akari began to take out a variety of clothing, placing them in Haru's blue backpack carefully. Katsuki made his way towards his best friend's bedroom, the faded-brown haired boy still sobbing in his shirt. The taller male took a few items from the girl's closet and dresser, placing them in a black bag he found. Although, this took him much longer, since he had to do so one handed. The short haired female walked in the room, the blue bag slung on her shoulders and dirty black converse lazily done up on her feet. Akari's gaze fell on the bag Katsuki was holding, along with her brother.

"I-...Thanks." She mumbled quietly, almost whisper-like.

The spiky haired teenager nodded in acknowledgement, walking towards her, and gripping her smaller, cold hand tightly, leading her downstairs.

"I can hold Haru if you want...."

"No. I think he's falling asleep." Katsuki whispered.

Akari's blue eyes met the smaller boy's green ones. They were drooping quite low, as if he was fighting sleep. His eyes were surrounded by a pink ring, making them puffy and bloodshot. Haru's nose and cheeks were bright pink, tears stains littering his freckled face. Akari's face softened, bringing her other hand up to move his wavy bangs aside, and caressed his face. Haru leaned into the touch almost immediately.

"Hey, it's going to be okay....you can sleep now." She said softly, trying hard to smile for him.

Haru breathed out slowly, letting the bliss feeling of sleep wash over him, even though his small body was still erupting with anxiety. The small boy leaned in the crook of Katsuki's neck, getting comfortable. The two teenager's eyes widened at the sight of the front door. There was a large black pillar stuck right through the piece of wood. Although, it's appearance was rather odd. It almost looked like it was glitching slightly.

"It's...glitching." Akari inhaled sharply.

Katsuki's grip on her hand tightened, the pair seeming to come to the realization of what this meant. Trying his best to not touch whatever this was, he leaned down, taking hold of both his shoes, and Haru's. The ash-blonde handed the shorter girl her brother's shoes, as he slipped on his own, trying not to disturb the sleeping child in his grasp. The two teens made their way carefully through the backdoor, checking to see if it was safe first. After the coast was indeed clear, they jogged towards the Bakugo household, not really wanting to be outside in the dark at the moment. Katsuki opened the front door quickly, only to be met with a dark hallway. Assuming his parents were asleep, as it was late, he quietly took his shoes off, Akari mimicking him. She followed him to his bedroom shortly after, watching as the taller boy carefully placed Haru under the covers on his bed. Katsuki sighed, running a calloused hand through his spiky locks anxiously. He turned towards his dresser, taking out some sweat pants and tossing them towards the girl's smaller form. Akari stared at them for a second, before inhaling sharply.
