Wire

I loved you, I loved you like a bird loves it's wire

But then you left and the birds wire snapped

And like the bird, I fell

Cause you were my wire

The wire I walked on to keep me high

The wire that kept me safe

They warned me of the wire, said that

"If you trust it to much it will snap, or even worse burn you"

I didn't listen to them, but they were right

But it was already to late

I gave you all the love I had to give

And you

Like everyone had said

Took it all but never gave anything back
