let me tell you something about nate jacobs

Nate and Alice started to fall into a routine. He would take her and Luca to school and take them home after, anytime she would have work he drove her there as well. Jules and Rue were becoming increasingly worried about their new friend, they knew that Nate Jacobs was involved with her but they only recently noticed how serious it was becoming. 

Rue and Jules planned an intervention, they would confront Alice and tell her about all the shitty stuff that Nate's done. Although they had only known her for a week, they felt a sense of responsibility for her. They knew they couldn't keep this information about Nate to themselves, they had to warn her.

Nate and Alice were sitting with Nate's friends at lunch. She felt out of place, and couldn't join in on the conversation. She leaned into Nate and whispered, "I have to go to bathroom, I'll be back." He looked at her and nodded. 

Alice made her way into the bathroom and quickly did her business. She almost screamed when she found Jules, Rue and Maddy waiting for her by the door. Alice became nervous again, Nate had her warned not to talk to Maddy. He told her that Maddy was crazy and jealous of them and that she would do whatever it took to tear them apart. 

"What's going on?" Alice said nervously. The three girls looked at Alice, Jules spoke up, "We need to talk to you." Alice replied, "About what?" 

"Nate."

Nate began to worry when Alice hadn't come back from the bathroom in ten minutes. 'Fuck it'. He made his way down the hall into the girls restroom, looking around him he pressed his ear to the door and heard voices. He almost walked away when he heard Alice. 

Jules looked at Alice and said, "Alice, Nate is not a good guy." Alice looked hurt, Nate had warned her about this. He warned her that people who try to get in-between them. "Yes he is, he's good to me." 

Nate smiled from outside, hearing his girl defend him filled him with joy. But what was said next filled him with anger. 

"Nate is abusive Alice. When we were together he hurt me a lot. Like one night at the carnival he fucking choked me." Maddy said looking at Alice with sincerity. Maddy was a little jealous when she first saw Alice and Nate together. But when Jules and Rue explained what was happening she knew she couldn't let another girl go through what she had been through. Alice began to shake her head, not wanting to believe what the girls were saying. Rue continued, "Alice, trust us. Nate has hurt a lot of people, us included."  

"You're lying. He told me you would say something like this," turning to Jules and Rue she continued, "I thought you two were my friends but you're obviously just trying to help her get back with Nate." Her eyes filled with tears, she felt betrayed. Alice had finally opened her heart to knew people and they turned about to be fake. 

"Alice, no. We care about you," Jules started. Rue continued, "Alice we can't just sit back and let Nate hurt you like he did to Maddy." Maddy spoke up, "Alice shook her head wanting to get away from them, "no he would never hurt me. Now move, I don't want to talk to you guys anymore." The girls sighed as Alice began making her way out of the bathroom. 

Nate heard Alice say she was leaving and moved down the hall and stood by her locker. When she exited the bathroom his chest tightened seeing the tears streaming down her face. She looked around and sighed with relief upon seeing Nate's face. She ran up to him and launched herself in his arms. "What's wrong baby?" He said his face in her neck. "Can we leave please?" She asked her face shoved against his chest.

"Anywhere you want to go."
