Hey guys! I'm so sorry that it's been so long. I know I've said this quite a few times but really I don't mean to wait so long to update. I plan on updating and then life gets crazy and I don't remember until one of you awesome people remind me and make me feel bad for not doing it sooner. It's been really crazy lately, but hopefully, and I'm not promising anything, but hopefully things will start to calm down and I can update sooner and more frequently. I originally planned to update every other week, so I can update my other story, Everything Changed When I Met You, in between. So... maybe that plan will happen. Eventually. Anyway, I'm probably boring you with this authors note (if you even read it) so I'll just get to the story. As always, I hope you enjoy!

"Pick up the phone, pick up the phone!" I begged loudly and exaggeratedly as the agonizing tone continued to ring. Finally, after what seemed like a million years, Caroline finally answered. "Yes?" She answered, chirpy as ever. I screamed loudly and excitedly, probably making Caroline jump a mile high. "Anna?" She asked worriedly, "What's wrong?" I laughed giddily. "Nothing! Everything is so right with the world, Caroline. Everything is perfect!" I heard her chuckle through the line before asking, "Will you spit it out? What's got you all happy?" I grinned to myself and announced, "Well... bad news is that Tiffany got injured during practice today and has to stay off her ankle for quite a while. Because opening night is eight months away, and Chance can't push it back any, he asked me to take Tiffany's place as the lead in his show!" Caroline screamed loudly. "No way!" She gushed, "I'm so happy for you! That's so exciting!"

I was in the kitchen and was feeling hungry, so I grabbed a banana before making my way to the fluffy couch in the living room. "I know!" I said excitedly, "I'll get to dance in this amazing show! And as the lead!" Caroline giggled and added, "Plus you'll play the romantic interested to Brice the hottie with a body." Without a clue as to why, I could feel heat rush to my cheeks quickly. "Caroline hush! Brice and I are just friends." I assured her. "Fine!" She laughed, "I'll gladly take him!" This made me laugh loudly. "You're on the other side of the U.S. I don't think that will work." I heard some noise in the background and what sounded like a bunch of girls talking. "Where there is a will there is a way!" Caroline chanted, "Hey I have to go. Cheer practice is about to start. I love you! Congratulations! Bye!" with that she hung up and I put my phone down. That girl was something else.

I got off the couch and plugged my phone into the dock, blaring music around the house. I bounced into the kitchen and started putting dishes away, then preparing my dad's favorite meal - spaghetti and mozzarella stuffed meatballs. While cooking, I bounced around dancing goofily, banging my head to the music. When Chance asked if I would take Tiffany's spot I almost screamed my answer. I felt really bad that Tiffany was hurt and unable to dance - I don't know what I would do if I couldn't dance for that long - but I was also really happy because I had come to love this show and wanted so badly to be an official part.

As I was dancing around, my phone went off with my dad's ringtone. I immediately stopped and looked up at the giant window in the kitchen that looked out to the front porch - where Brice, Reece, Scott and Gabby were standing. Oh crap. I grabbed my phone and answered with a breathless, "Hello" while I watched my four friends standing outside looking in at me. Reece and Scott were dying of laughter, Gabby was snickering, and Brice had a large, goofy smile on his face. What was that about?

I was humiliated. "Anna?" My dad called through the phone. "Uh, yeah, hi dad," I said while walking into the living room and towards the door, "I'm making dinner. Your favorite actually. Spaghetti and meatballs. Stuffed. Just like you like them." With my hand on the door knob, dad said, "Well that's nice of you sweetie, listen I know you said you had big news to discuss over dinner but I'm afraid I have to stay late up here at the office. I'm sorry honey. I promise when I get home we will talk. I'm really sorry." I opened the door and waved - surely with a bright red face - to the four giggling on my porch. "No it's okay. I know that you're working hard to keep us in a good place. No apologies needed." I assured him. I was upset that he couldn't be here but I understood. I wasn't mad. I knew that he was trying so hard for the both of us - and that's way more than I could ever say for my mom. "I feel terrible, I'm sorry." He apologized yet again. "Dad seriously," I reassured him, "It's okay. I understand. My friends are here actually so I'll be fine." I could hear a breath of relief from my dad across the line. "Okay sweetie. I love you, have fun with your friends." I smiled slightly, "I love you too dad. See you later."
