The Daughter of Dante

"Saithe, get my brother, please. I'm sorry." I grabbed my cloak and went out to look for Dante. I went back to Fortuna, hopefully, to find Dante.

I walked through the town, and Dante jumped in front of me. Why did you come back? Nero was upset with you. Sai, there's something wrong with Vergil, isn't there? He's asking for me.

"Yes, Dante, he is asking about you. He is not doing too well. He's sick, and his skin is crumbling. When I left him, he was resting. He is requesting your presence, and for the sake of him, I will put my hatred of you aside."

"I will come for my brother's sake. I know you don't care for me, but I love you, my daughter. Come on, let's go." I opened a portal back to where Vergil was.

Vergil was still shivering and murmuring in his sleep. "I'm back, uncle. I'm sorry I left in the first place."

"You look like hell, brother. Vergil, the power you sought is destroying you. You need to take it easy from now on. Saithe, you should go back and be with Nero. Find some info for the order and their plans. I'm going to stay with Vergil. Go now be with your cousin, and here I got you this for your birthday."

Dante handed me a box wrapped in black wrapping paper with a happy birthday kid written in shimmery green ink. I opened it, and it was a cool ass outfit. It was a high-tech breastplate, a jacket, some pants, tall, lace-up high heel boots, and there were two high-impact pistols in the box as well. They were all in blacks and greens. "Thanks, Dad."

I went to the bathroom to change into these new clothes before heading to Nero's house. I open a portal right outside of his house. Nero saw me through the window and rushed out, ready to attack me. I lifted my hands and made a sign that I meant no harm.

"What the hell, Saithe. I thought you weren't going to come back. You told me to forget these last days, and you showed up. You made it just in time for dinner, though. I'm delighted you are here. Kyrie will be happy you are here. You said Vergil wasn't doing well." Nero hugged me tightly.

I walk in with Nero. It was strange this warmth I got from these seemingly strangers to me. Kyrie, when she saw me, rushed to hug me. "Dinner is almost ready though Credo will not be here for dinner. He said there was something important happening at the order HQ."

"I heard of the order of the sword, but what is their mission? I've heard some concerning rumors about them. Like they are trying to make new demons or half-demon creatures. That's quite alarming for a demon hunter such as myself. It isn't very comforting to many people. If they are, someone needs to stop them. Men who want to play god will only be destroyed by such power, which is happening to Vergil. But Vergil is no simple human. He is the Son of Sparda, the Demon Prince of hell."

"I do not know anything about that. But there is something strange going on at the order HQ. Only high-ranking members are allowed at the headquarters, but I know where it is. I can take you, but they will kill you if you go inside and they catch you."

"Thank you, Nero. I can't let you lead me to it, and they find out you were the one who showed me there. They will punish you and even kill you due to your devil bringer arm. They will take your arm for the very reason to resurrect demons, including one Vergil and Dante destroyed long ago. You are not strong enough to take down a demon lord even with that arm. If I'm doing this, I'm doing this on my own—no offense Nero. Plus, you got people who love you. Who cares about you. I got no one to care for and love me. I'm nothing more than a mere stain on your wall and a stain to this world."

"You got Kyrie and me. I finally have a family. You finally have a family. You are not a stain to us. You aren't leaving me behind again. If you are going to do something dangerous, I'm going to come with you. I care for you, and I want to fight beside you."
