It had been about a week since Peter had moved into the west brink home for boys. A decently spacious place that was being run by a lovely middle-aged couple. Peter smiled when the couple would banter with each other. It reminded him a lot of his aunt May and uncle Ben being playfully snarky while they were making breakfast in the morning. The house held 12 boys from the age of 6 to 17. Though they could be annoying at times he was happy there. He always wanted brothers though he wish it would have been under a different circumstance.

Peter sat on his bed sketching out a new design for a new spider suit. He shared a room with three other boys, Mathew, Eddy, and Wade. Over the week he discovered they all had vastly different yet very intriguing personalities. Matt wasn't very social but he was a smart kid. Especially for being blind. He would ramble on about how when he turned 18 he would go straight to Columbia University to pursue his dream of being a lawyer. Eddy was very in the middle. It honestly felt like there were two of him because of how often his personality would change. One second he would be a quiet and nervous kid then the next he was the life of the party. Lastly, there was Wade, Peter thinks he likes him the most. Wade was a very out-there spirit. He was always cracking a joke or pulling a prank on one of the younger kids.

Matt sat on the bottom bunk across from Peter. Using his brail bible to get ready for his study the following Sunday. He crinkled his nose at the exasperate use of a pencil that was being used near him. "What ware are you doing over there Pete? Your pencil is sounding like it's about to be on life support."

Peter looked up at the sudden break of his thoughts. "Huh? Oh, the drawing. I was sketching out that spider guy from YouTube that I've seen run around here a few times. He seems pretty cool saving the city and all."

Matt raised an eyebrow at him. "The one that was in your old place before you got sent here?"

"Yeah, that's him. He may have not been able to save my aunt, but at least everyone else made it out alive." Peter cringed a bit accidentally leaning a bit too hard on his knife wound. It had about a week or so to heal, and his speedy healing abilities came into play. He was still sore in that area. "I'm just glad that they were stopped and can't hurt anyone anymore. I just wish the police would have taken them to jail instead of on the ground. While what they did to aunt May is unforgiving I don't think anybody deserves death."

"What's the old phrase? An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, or in your case a life for a life."

"An eye for an eye makes the world go blind." Peter suddenly remembering who he was talking to raises his hands in defense "Oh sorry Matt"

"None taken. I just suppose I don't have to worry about the latter half of that phrase" he smirked setting his bible down. "You seem pretty put together for someone who just lost someone close. How are you holding up?"

Peter laid back on his bed resting his hands behind his head. "Fine, I guess. I mean I miss her, and I wish every second that she is picking me up from school and hugging me and telling me everything is gonna be ok. But with experience, it gets easier. I lost my parents when I was 8. We went to the stark expo as a family tradition. I loved watching Ironman flying across the sky. Sometimes I would see him facing off against some monster from the window of my bedroom." Peter smiled at the memory. Then dropped it as he continued his story. " I had gotten separated from my parents when the chaos broke out. I was wearing my plastic Iron Man helmet ready to fight off One of the bots that were ready to frame me on the spot. Iron blasted it away saying, nice work kid. It honestly felt like the coolest moment of my life thus far. Until I realized I couldn't find my mom or dad. I ran around the area. I called for them but no one came. Soon after the commotion settled a police officer helped me look for my parents with no luck. About five days later I learned they both got taken out by flying debris."
