Your father knows you like the back of his own hand and him bringing you to Dubai is no exception. Dubai is exactly what you like in a vacation destination – luxurious hotels, amazing food, cold drinks by the pool, and cute boys as a part of the hotel staff. Ever since arriving in Dubai a few days ago, all you've been up to is hanging out by the pool, going shopping and sightseeing while your father, Jungkook, and Jaemin all are attending meetings with several potential partners. You haven't seen much of them these first two days except for when it was time for dinner.

The first night was filled with tension to say the least. You arrived at the hotel just before dinner and the taxi ride had been very silent as you were still thoroughly embarrassed after waking up with your head on Jungkook's shoulder. What made it even worse is without a doubt the fact that Jungkook had given in to sleep himself and was resting his own head on top of yours. The two of you didn't say much for the rest of the evening after scrambling away from each other as the plane had landed and people around you were beginning to leave. Your dad has been oblivious as always, not noticing the evident tension in the taxi nor at dinner, so it must only be you and Jungkook who's feeling it. Hopefully Jaemin is as oblivious as your father.

However, Jungkook didn't join the three of you for dinner the second night, telling Jaemin to pass on the news to your father and you. Jaemin had done so, telling you and your father that his supervisor wasn't feeling too good and was going to spend the evening in his room. If that excuse wasn't so fucking basic, you might've believed it. Even though it was an obvious lie, you couldn't help but let your thoughts wander to him as you ate dinner with your father and Jaemin. All you could do was hope he would feel better soon if he actually wasn't feeling well.

It's now the third day of the trip and you haven't seen Jungkook around since the first night. He's absent when you eat breakfast with Jaemin and your father – probably eating breakfast earlier than the rest of you and going for a run before the first meeting in their busy schedule. He's that type of person. But despite knowing he's pretty athletic and going for a run is quite normal for him, you're convinced that he's doing everything he can to avoid you. That fact alone makes something in your gut drop. But it's what he wanted. He wanted this whole thing between you settled and it is now, you suppose. It would've been much easier for the both of you if he hadn't been so damn stubborn about his morals in the first place. The worst thing is probably the fact that you're just as stubborn, completely set on not letting him affect you like he did before. Maybe you should go back to the old methods from when it all started two months ago?

God, why are you even thinking about him right now? The sun is burning hot in the sky, there's a cold mojito being served to you by a really cute bartender, and you're pretty sure he's been trying to talk to you ever since you got here.

"Smile, beautiful, it suits you more than that frown you're sporting right now."

You let out a laugh at his words, sighing heavily as you finally look, like really look, at him. He's tall as he stands there in the bar, dyed blonde hair parted in the middle, dark brown eyes and very pink lips. He's smiling at you, the proudness evident on his face as he watches the smile grow on your face, "see, there you go! That's much better."

"I'm usually not like this," you quickly tell him, feeling a sudden urge to assure him that you're usually not a moody person but instead a really cheerful person who's always up for a good time and meeting new people. The cute bartender assures you it's fine, that he has seen much worse while being a bartender at this hotel. He introduces himself as Seunghun, giving your hand a shake before quickly tending to some other guests who are all thirsty for delicious drinks. You watch with a smile as he swerves around the bar, mixing drinks and pouring them in practiced movements.
