Chapter 5

Beck's POV

After school, I went to meet Jade and Tori at Karaoke Dokie. I hope they will be real with me. I just wanna have normal friends, not friends that expect me to judge them. I want them to be free with me. And not feeling like I have high standards for friends. Am not like that. I am just looking for friends that can be their real selves around me. I reached and Joined them at their table.

Me: hey guys, how are you.
Tori: great
Jade: so let's get to know each other
Me: kay. What is your favourite food?
Tori: ice cream
Jade: hot wings
Me: wow, one is sweet, one is spicy, you two must be best friends
Tori: (laughs) we are
Me: why do best friends most times have to be the opposite of each other?
Jade: no one knows. Kay, Beck what is the worst injury you have ever had?
Me: hmm... Oh! There was one time I was running when my parents arrived home, to make sure that there was nothing in the house they could get mad about, and I slipped and ended up falling down the stairs, and I got a lot of scars, but the biggest one is on my arm, right here (points at scar)

Tori's POV

Wow, he has biceps. Am I seriously gonna start daydreaming about a guy that I am with right now? I am not trying to, but he ain't making it easy. He is so sweet to his fans. He agreed to be our friend, even though we are nobodies, he is so cute, and am guessing he works out. He is probably every girl's dream.

Beck: What is the worst thing you have ever done?
Jade: I once got mad at my parents for grounding me for something I didn't do, so I cut all their favourite clothes with my favourite scissors.
Beck: wow. Remind me never to mess with you.
Me: Let me see... Umm, One time, kissed my ex-boyfriend when he was dating my friend, Cat. She punched me in the face after that, but I still regret it and feel bad about it.
Jade: don't stress it, you were thinking of him as your ex when you kissed him, not as Cat's Boyfriend.
Beck: has she forgiven you?
Me: yeah...
Beck: then don't let it get to you, we all make mistakes sometimes.
Me: well that was a pretty big one.
Beck: and you have never repeated it right?
Me: no...
Beck: then stop letting the guilt get to you.
Jade: in case you never realized, that made you and Cat's friendship stronger.
Me: I guess your right.
Beck: yeah think positive. Now, what is your favourite song?
Me: Too Close by Ariana Grande
Beck: then you should sing it. We are at a karaoke club after all
Me: you see... I would, but I don't know how to sing.
Beck: That is a lie. You go to a school for talented kids, so you must be a talented singer.
Me: My sister, Trina, goes to the same school, but man if you hear her voice...
Jade: she is right, Trina sounds awful. No one knows how she entered the school. She is talented, but not in the arts.
Beck: come on Tori, sing your favourite song.
Tori: do I have to?
Beck: yes, you have to.
Tori: okay fine.

I went and sang the song 'Too Close' by Ariana Grande. No one knows, and I hope no one knows, but I was secretly thinking of Beck as I sang the lyrics. I guess I have got myself a crush.

Beck's POV

Tori sounds so beautiful right now. I doubt her sister sounds awful, because how can she when she related to such a beautiful singer? Her voice is calming, she sounds so amazing.

I had a really fun time getting these guys. We were gonna leave, we were just waiting for the check and then by mistake, one of the waiters spilt drinks all over us.

Waiter: am so sorry. Let me get something to clean up. Am so sorry.
Me: it's fine. It was an accident
Waiter: Oh my God, you are Beck Oliver!
Me: that's me.
Waiter: Can I get a picture?
Me: why not?
Waiter: thank you. And again am so sorry.
Tori/ Jade: it's fine. (Look at each other) (laugh)
Waiter: you know what? Here is money to pay for your dry cleaning. (Hands them money)

The drinks had spilt all over us so we were completely wet, then I realized something on Tori's arm, it looked like paint dripping or something like that. Did she paint her skin or something?

Me: Uhhh Tori?
Tori: Yeah?
Me: What is on your arm?
Tori: (looks at her arm and freezes)

Tori's POV

Ugh, the drinks are washing away the makeup. This is what I get for being too cheap to buy waterproof makeup. What am I supposed to tell him? Think Tori think.
