I jumped up and looked towards the screaming.
I saw a man running who looked like he was a hobo. He had ripped clothes, dirty hair and face, bloody arm and two miss matching shoes. I knew him. He was of course, Brad. I felt a hand put on my shoulder and I turned to see Rye looking me dead in the eyes. I nodded and turned back to Brad. I ran over to him and heard the footsteps of Rye behind me.
...
When we got to Brad he was collapsed on the floor. He mumbling something about a traitor and other things. In a few swift movements we picked Brad up and dragged him to a house that was near where we spawned.
Rye pushed me and said, "Get Silica and the slave, I will make sure Brad is okay."
I nodded, but felt a little bad for Ion. She was a slave. Sure she might be bad, but with Rye treating her like crap I don't know how I feel about her. I jogged back to where Silica was.
When I got to her I saw she was standing up, looking at the floor. I grabbed her hand and she immediately hugged me tight. I felt her warmth and hugged back. After a few moments we let go and she nodded her head to a tree where Ion sat, her legs and hands tied up. I sighed and walked to her. Right as I was about to pick her up she said, "Son...please let me go..."
My heart stopped. My eyes stared at her and my movements froze. Son? What the hell is she talking about? Son...
I instantly did something I never thought I would in my life time.
I slapped her.
