Waking up to your little brother's scream isn't what you would like on a special day. But, Little John's hobby is to mess with me whenever he has the chance. I was about to throw him a pillow, but he ran off before I could even grab it. I shall take my vengeance later.

I heard a knock on my bedroom door. "Honey, are you ready?" My mom peeked to see if I was. She smiled when she saw me still laying on my bed. "Please hurry, you're going to be late. And I don't think you would like that. Your luggage's already in the trunk."

Before I got to answer, she left to her room, probably searching for my dad to hurry him up as well. Since my mom was busy by the time, I stared at my room. The fact that I wasn't going to spend the rest of the summer in here, made me incredibly happy. I was finally going to my dream camp, the New York Film Academy. I waited and begged for three years until my parents said the most glorious "yes" I've ever heard in my life. I wanted to become the greatest actress ever, and in order to do so I needed experience, to learn how to master the art of acting in a better way than being a member of my school's Drama Club. I had it all planned since I was 14 years old. The dream began at 12, and it became a real purpose and goal when I turned 13. I started doing some research on the career, looking for colleges, summer courses, reading all kinds of books related to performing arts. At 14 I started to encourage my parents to support my wishes. It took a while to convince them but after they saw my first performance-the 'Peter Pan' play, I was Wendy (thank you Drama Club)- they were willing to do whatever it took to support me. As much as I love the Drama Club, I'm more of a film geek than a theatre lover. I've always been more fond of movies. I've admired many actors over the years and learned a lot by watching their films.
I was so distracted on my thoughts, that I didn't notice Little John sitting beside me on my bed. "I'm-going to miss you," he said quietly.
I smiled and hugged him tight. "And I will miss you, little man."
But his cuteness and charms didn't last forever, as usual. As soon as he crossed the door I could smell his fresh, gross fart. "That little-" I couldn't finish my cursing.
"Sophia Force! If you don't get down by this second-" my mom shouted.
"Coming, mom!" I yelled back.
When I reached the bottom of the stairs, I hugged Mom goodbye. "Have fun," she kissed my cheek. "Be careful, okay? Call me as soon as you get there."
"Yes..." I rolled my eyes.
She furrowed. "Promise?"
"Scout's honor," I grinned. I gently pull away from her second hug when I hear the car's cornet banging loudly from outside. "Bye!" I closed the front door behind me and hopped into the car as fast as I could.
The ride to the airport was silent. I guess that Frank Sinatra's music is the only entertainment that I had since there was nothing to say yet. My dad has always been a quiet man, and when we were together that didn't seem to change. I'd never mind about that, to be honest. I've never been much of a talker, either. At least with him. Small talk is all we need, most of the time.
Half an hour later, we reach the airport."Well, I guess this is it," My dad sighed with a sad smile on his face as he helped me with my luggage.
I kissed his cheek and gave him a quick hug. "Goodbye, dad. I love you."
"Love you too, Sophie Dearie,"He said. "And if you want to leave that camp-"
"Dad..."
"Okay, okay!" He laughed. "Just take care, alright? Stay away from boys."
"I will," I chuckled.
After the whole airport thing; like taking off your shoes and walk through a huge body scanner, stand in a large line, show my passport, and wait, I'm finally sitting in my first class seat. My mom wanted me to have the best flight ever given that she's absent. It's the first time I was without any grownup suppervision on a plane. My parent's, at least. What's best about this situation is that I'm sitting beside the window. I never got to sit beside the window before. I know it's a bit stupid to be excited about this, but it's pretty awesome. I guess the person that goes beside me is a bit late, for the seat beside me is empty.
I read the airplane's safety guide until I noticed the missing passenger sitting beside me. Naturally, I turned to see whom I'm going to spend the next two hours with. To my own surprise, I recognized him in the flash on a second. Oh my God. Oh. My. God. This can't be. No way.
"Hello," He flashed me a big and wide smile. "My name is-"
"Dean Collins," I completed. "Well, Dean Richard Collins," Honestly, did I just say that aloud?
He's still smiling, but with a glint of confusion."I'm sorry, do we know each other?" He asked kindly.
"No, well- I know who you are, but-"
He chuckled. "That's cool. It's been ages since someone... Never mind," he shacked his head and smiled. "What's your name?"
"Sophia. Sophia Force. Nice to meet you," I said shyly.
"Nice to meet you, too," We shacked hands. "Nice eyes," His blue-ish eyes stared at mine. "Did you know that only 2% of the human population have green eyes? You must feel special."
"Really? Who told you that?" I grinned.
"My best friend," he said. Oh my God. I know who that is.
I was actually very proud of myself at that moment. I wasn't freaking out! My twelve year old self was dying of glee and screaming her lungs out but thank goodness she was kept well hidden. I would never have imagined that I would meet my favorite actor's best friend! And here I am. Oh my God.
"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. On behalf of the flight crew, let me welcome you aboard American Airlines. For your own safety, please fasten your seat-belts and remain in your seats. For now, your electronic equipment must be turned off..." After five minutes of explaining the safety guide I read minutes ago, the captain finally stopped talking through the speaker.
"Can I ask you something?" My curiosity didn't stand another minute.
"Sure Sophie, anything." He said.
I cleared my throat. "I prefer Soph."
He nodded. Okay, Soph."
"What brings you to New York?" I hope I'm not sounding too nosy.
He smiled. "I'm filming a music video and I gotta go to some photo shoots, some parties to attend, too... Ah, I'll also be one of the speakers in the New York Film Academy summer camp."
I gasped in surprise. "No way! I'm going to that same camp!" I say a little bit too excited.
"What, really? That's awesome!" He said a little too thrilled, which made me blush. "You seem a little nervous, Soph," he teased.
"I-well, yeah! It's just that I haven't met an actor in real life before..." I said shyly. "Well, kind of retired actor and lead singer of a band..."
"Oh! So you know about Pacific?" He asked excitedly and clearly a little flattered. "And why the 'kind of retired' actor?"
I nodded. "You and Daniel are excellent," I said referring about Pacific. "I also know about Indigo, but I know you guys split. Well, only Logan. And," I add, "Your last film was... What? Hoot?" I raised an eyebrow.
His eyes were wide. "Whoa whoa whoa, how do you know so much?"
Great, now he thinks I'm a psycho. "Well," I sighed with exaggeration on purpose. "I was madly in love with your best friend so I know almost everything about him and his life..." I mumbled. "Which includes you, of course."
He stayed silent and then started to laugh. "Aw! You're so cute!" He jabbed my cheek.
"Hey!" I shoved his hand away. "Stop laughing!" That sounded contradicting, because I was laughing, too.
"I bet you don't know his favorite candy, food and color." He challenged, raising an eyebrow.
I sighed. "Really? That easy? I expected more from you." I teased.
He smirked. "Oh, so you don't know?" He challenged once more.
"Sourpatch kids. Sushi. Green and blue. He can't decide between those two colors." I said simply without any hint of hesitation. I didn't lie when I said it was too easy. I was impressed myself, to be honest. It had been ages since I thought about Logan Lerman.
He raised his eyebrows in surprise. "Okay, okay... I'm impressed." And he did look impressed. "But I bet you don't know how he and I met."
"You met when you were in the tv series 'Jack and Bobby'. After that, you kept in touch and became best friends." I said as if I've learned it yesterday. "And I can add more."
He nodded again with his challenging look. "Bring it."
"You have a YouTube account named monkeynuts1069. You made videos in your free time for fun." Dean turned open-mouthed.
"Okay, okay. You know plenty of stuff," He admitted as he took a sip from his water glass. "But let's move to another level. His family." It was awesome that he found my obsession entertaining.
"Larry and Lisa Lerman are his parents. His sister's name is Lyndsey, his brother's name is Lucas," I said as Dean smiled, clearly satisfied, maybe thinking that I was over. "AND, he has two dogs. Lola and Stella. Want me to add more?"
"Religion?" He added quickly.
"Jewish" I replied.
"Idols?"
"Jim Carrey and Betty White" I felt powerful. I could answer anything.
"Status?"
"Single" I said.
He raised a fist in the air. "You've passed the test" He clapped as if he'd triumphed.
