Chapter 15 - Red

I sat beside him and took his hand. He looked away.

“Tell me everything. No secrets.” I rubbed his bandaged hand slowly only realizing both of his hands are on bandage.

“I received a message this morning.” I looked at his eyes waiting for him to continue.

“It was unknown number. It says, ‘I got in her first and I’ll be the last. “ he flinched again saying it.

“It must be Dave.” I said softly enough to be heard.

“There’s no way in hell he is touching you, not even being close to you. I’ll protect you no matter what Alice. Even if I kill him.” There was this tone on his voice that made me shiver. His face is turning red and I do not know any way to calm him down since I’ve never saw him this angry before. He’s been angry at Dave-related topics and issues but not this.

The only sense that reached me was to kiss him. I moved swiftly and caught his lips into mine. At first, his lips were tensed from being angry but he calmed down and deepened the kiss. I can feel his giggles and moans during the kiss. I breakaway leaving him wanting more.

He pouted a little but smiled brightly. “And what about your hands?”

“I happened to saw that coconut tree and punched the life out of it.” he managed a chuckle.

“Well you obviously failed because it’s still standing.” I peck his lips surprising him with my new found confidence.

He chuckled once again and looked at me deep into the eyes.

“Alice, let me take you home.” And the whole zoo became wild inside my stomach.

It’s been a week since I came back to my place with Logan. He reported a threat to the authorities making the police in the entire city alert and he even hired private guards to look out for Dave and at the same time keep me safe. Logan’s been dragging me to his interviews now and then but I manage to keep myself away from cameras for public scrutiny.

Today, Logan has this photoshoot with a Spanish magazine and he begged me to go with him. He managed to convince me to quit my job as a staff at the Marine Park but will still work for journals and pictures and all of the stuff that comes with it so I was working online starting yesterday.

I sure miss everyone there at the Marine park but I have to keep Logan sane by constantly being present whenever he checks on me or asks for a quick break. Tom, Logan’s manager was forced to like me since Logan is his biggest pet and upsetting me might upset him which will turn into cascade of reaction.

Logan being clingy made me love him more. Some people would get annoyed by him, but as weird as it sounds, I like him being clingy.

What have I done to deserve this? I smiled to myself.

Logan got a new phone again since he keeps on smashing it whenever a Dave-related issue comes along. I browse his photos and saw maybe almost hundreds of stolen pictures of myself which didn’t freak me out but made me laugh hysterically.

“What’s funny?” Logan appeared right after I put down his phone.

“Since when did you become my paparazzi?” I tried containing my laugh.

“They are not for you to see and..laugh.” he pouted.

I laughed more but managed to end it quick.

“You’re so pretty even when you’re doing nothing so I have to take pictures. I might have a gallery filled with that.” He is such a cutie. Ugh! I jumped out of my chair and reached for Logan. I tangled my hand into his hair and pulled him closer.

“Are you done baby? Can we go home?” I rubbed my leg somewhere between his teasing him.

His eyes looked more than surprised as I felt him getting bigger on my leg.

“Why are you doing that?” his eyes are magnified into a surprise look.

“Well, don’t you like it?” I faked a pout teasing him more.

“Logan come he-“ Tom stopped and turned red from what he saw. I looked at Logan and he’s redder than a tomato. His bulge looked like he is hiding a ten foot pole in his pants.

Tom started laughing so hard and I joined him while Logan lowered his face into my neck.

“Can’t handle your girl Logan?” he teased him.

Logan didn’t answer and I kept on laughing with Tom.

“Anyway, there’s only editing to do. You can scoot out and continue that little thing that you wanna do.” He laughed at Logan and winked at me. I smiled at Tom as he left us.

“That was embarrassing.” Logan led me to his car.

“You look cute baby.” I glanced up.

“Oh I won’t be, if you let me.” He winked and stepped on the gas.
