My boy ~~ Druig

ATTACK

It was getting dark in the village and there wasn't many people around, you were sitting against a tree surrounded with wet leaves, Sersi was on the phone to Dane, Gil and Thena were away in the forest somewhere. Suddenly screams started echoing through out the small clearing and there where epople trying to escape. You shot up and your eyes searched for whatever was making these humans scream in terror, then it hit you "Deviants!" You pulled a small metal twig out the inside of your hoodie, you shook it and it expanded into a long stick, the same one you used when a deviant attacked you in Scotland.

 One came barging at you, you pulled you arms away from each other, spun them in a circle and a massive yellow aura shot out from you, it sent the deviant flying backward crashing through a building. you looked to your left where Kingo, Sprite and Sersi where already preoccupied,  "It's an ambush!" Kingo shouted. You ran up to couple people screaming, "Get inside! We're being attacked! Hide!" There were people running and deviants were tearing through buildings, Kingo was shooting deviants with his powers, he was yelling at sprite to get Karun to safety.

 You run up to Sersi, "Where's Ikaris and druig?" She looks at you and answers, "Ikaris was grabbed by a Deviant and pulled into the sky, I don't know about Druig."  You sigh, "Ikaris will be fine, he's got laser eyes after all." Quickly a deviant swished it's tail sending Sersi across the ground and into a building, "Sersi!" She was under the rubble of a blacksmiths, people started shooting at the deviant while they're eyes glowed.

 The deviant spun and Druig appeared he was wearing a white tank top showing his shoulder and arms, he jumped over its tail and grabbed a rifle laying on the ground, he ran up its back, jumped up and shot the top of its head, he did a front flip off it when Sersi ran up to him, "Let them go." She motioned her arms to the people shooting the deviant in sync, "Now's not the best time Sersi." She grabbed his shoulders "Come on Druig, please." He lifted one arm up and stopped the people, one spoke, "Druig! What's happening." He shouts in response, "GO GET TO THE RIVER!" He clenches his jaw. 

You walk over to him, "Druig-" He cuts you off, "Go away y/n we have problems to solve, with all these deviants running around." He turns around when suddenly the deviant thought to be dead spun jumped up and grabbed Druig, "DRUIG!" You scream, you start to panic, Druig's arms where flailing around everywhere, you pull out your spear, and then run up to the deviant, it tries to knock you over with it's tail but you duck and roll, you take the spear and roughly place it in the side of it's neck and pull, ripping the deviants skin and piercing the side of it's neck to just past its shoulders. It's body falls to the ground along with a loud bang, Druig rolls out from between it's open mouth, "Druig are you ok?!" He stands up and glares at you, "Druig? Druig?" He turns and walks away, you grab his bulk shoulders, "Druig! Hey! Druig! Why are you mad at me? I saved your life!" You hold on to him till he's facing you, you look him in the eyes, "Druig?" His expression was angry, "You saved my life y/n, but you also were the one who nearly got me killed in the first place!" You stepped back in shock, "What! That's crazy! It wasn't my fault!" His tone was still angry, "No Y/n! I was watching you, replying to you, I should have been able to sense it! You being there made me weak!" His eyes open in shock as to what he just admitted he then turns and walks to the others. 

Kingo had just killed on or two, along with Ikaris, but one dead Deviant caught your eye, stopping you in your tracks, "Is that a deviant tree?" Your mouth drops. Sersi and Ikaris were embraced in a hug, Sersi's hair was wet, "Sersi, did you do that?!" She looks at you and nods her head, "Wow Sersi!" Ikaris's face turns serious, "Gil and Thena, they need my help." He suddenly takes to the sky, Kingo whispers in your ear, "Did you know she could do that?" You chuckle, "No. Off course not Kingo."

Everyone walks up to were Thena sat and Gilgamesh lay, Thena's eyes were filled with tears, all for the dead man laying before her, his face had lost all colour and turned grey. You all stood around him mourning his death, "Gil..." You whisper under your breath.

There was a cremation later, there was praying and a couple tears. The next morning Thena lay Gilgamesh's ashes in a lake where Druig watched. sersi came up and stood next to him, you watched from a distance close enough to hear, he spoke, "When I left, I thought about taking the minds of every human on this planet, Violence, fear, greed all gone, because without their flaws they wouldn't be human."  She looked at him, "Please Druig, You can't stay here anymore. These deviants are trying to keep us from killing their own kind, they have a conscience now, that makes them more dangerous." Druig shakes his head, "No Sersi, that makes them us. Eternals, Deviants, Arisham's children, but you are asking me to take the mind of  celestial, I do not have that kind of power." She smiles, "We'll need Phastos." He looks to the river, "Well good luck, he gave up on humans a long time ago."
