(this series is by no means good, I just wanted to try and write something because I love to write and I love fantasy. hope you enjoy, and be kind to others.)

What are shadows?

Are they things that follow you around during sunny days?

Are shadows the unknown, the things that haunt you at night. Does shadow represent the color black.

Does anyone truly know what shadows are?

Some do truly know what they are and what they mean.

Yet some do not. Some are blind to what they see around them. If they do not see the shadows. Then why force them to. Yet for those who are corrupt, and for those who see the shadows.

Then let them suffer in the darkness.

For in this world, Shadows are more than you will ever know.

It felt like nothing had happened. I felt fine, but the air felt heavy and cold as its weight held me down. I finally got enough strength to pull myself up from the ground. As I stood up I noticed that I was in a small stone room with two other people.

The room was lit with different torches that scattered around the walls of the room, casting grand shadows across its cracked and broken surface.

I had no idea who the other people even were. What I did know was I was not at home. The last memory I had of my home, Zilenze, was gone. All I remembered was a bright light and then everything was engulfed in a dark shadow of pure darkness.

Suddenly the two other people stood up. They seemed to be about my age, a girl and a boy.

The boy had short blonde hair and looked pretty strong. The girl had long brown hair and intense eyes.

"Who are you?" said the girl.

"I've got the same question," I said.

"I think those are questions that we all don't really know", I said.

"Well if we want to get out of here" I said, "we should probably work together."

"Hold on," said the other boy, "Why am I supposed to trust two random strangers, I have know idea who you two are."

"Do you want to stay down here for the rest of your life?" said the girl.

"Good point,'' said the other boy.

We started to look around the tiny room for anything that had clues to get out of here.

The three of us shot curious and suspicious glances at each other. Ever since I woke up, my body has been tense.

Not knowing what was going on, who the other people were, or why I was here.

They were all questions that made me tense up, for they were unknown.

"While we're in this room", the girl said, "we should probably get to know each other. My name is Eve,

Eve Kington" said the girl.
