To my friend Alita, who disappeared on August 16th, 2021.
Thank you for these amazing years filled of memories I will treasure.

One day like every other, the sun peacefully rose over the mountains. And from a giant stone tower, Alita got out, as she used to do every morning. Following her daily routine, she headed towards the forest's little pond. But she felt incredibly worried, something was not right today. She could feel it, but neither see nor hear it. But somewhere, in the forest, it was there. Watching her. Lurking amongst the shadows. She looked around her, scanning every detail of every tree, bush, plant. Nothing. She took a few steps forward, closing in on a little bush, she still didn't know whatever this damn thing was, but it was there. She knew it. She took her sword out, and pointed it at the bush. She then screamed at whoever or whatever was in there to get out and to leave their weapons behind. Out of the bush poked a head with a straight and cold expression on it, their ice blue eyes looked bored but behind them hid fear and admiration, they had black hair with a red streak on the left side of their head, which hid their ear. They were also pretty tall, but not giant either, probably a little over 6 feet or so. Alita lowered her sword a little, which was a big mistake. The person jumped out, at a whopping 16 meters of altitude, Alita looked up to try and see them, but she was blinded by the sun. Trying to process who this mysterious person was. Suddenly, a lancing pain took her left leg, she was hit by whoever this was. She managed to keep her cool, she looked around with her eyes still adapting to the change of brightness, she couldn't see them. They vanished. She waited a minute or two with her guard up, in case they came back. After that time, she allowed herself to look down to see what hurt so bad, her knee was sliced open vertically, from her rotula to her ankle. She quickly grabbed a few leaves from a nearby tree and tied them together to make herself a bandage for her wound. It wasn't perfect, but it would do the job. She stood back up and started walking back home, still using all of her senses to make sure she wasn't being followed.

Character description.

✪ Alita Vermillon

Alita is a powerful witch and fighter, while she isn't really known for her fighting skills, she still is an opponent that you don't want to encounter often, even if she's only a 16 year old teenager.

Her witchcraft spells mainly focus around healing, but she also controls ice spells pretty well. This makes her a target of priority when she fights with allies, which has yet to happen. She tends to forget about her healing spells, since she practically never uses them.

Although she lives a solitary life, she secretly wants to go out of her way to meet new people and make new friends.

She is about average size, she isn't very muscular, but not frail either. Her arms are covered in scars, some from fighting, and others from herself.

She has purple hair, her black eyes are big and bubbly, sometimes even bigger when she wears her giant round glasses, which makes her look like she's a character from a cartoon.

She doesn't wear extravagant clothes, her preferred outfit is a black turtleneck shirt with some gray or black jeans, nothing more than that. Although when she practices her spells, she wears a long blue robe with golden and white outlines, with a very short white vest with light blue abstract patterns on it. There isn't really a reason for it, she just likes wearing it.

She also has a weird relationship with stress and anxiety, she sometimes breakdowns over the most minor of stresses, and at other times, it is as if time is slowed down.
