"I'm terribly sorry, Tanjiro..."

"Please, don't apologize! You didn't do anything wrong!"

Funny how Tanjiro got his lights knocked out yet he was the one comforting the guilty y/n.

It'd been a little bit before Tanjiro had woken up after getting knocked out. A while before, the little boy ended up giving Muichiro the key so he'd go away.

Ah, yes. The little boy's name was Kotetsu!

The little boy that the duo had defended was a little surprised to see a whole demon slayer on the verge of crying about something as simple as her friend getting folded.

Anywho-

"I want to thank you both, I really appreciate what you did." Kotetsu told them after Tanjiro calmed y/n down, "It was surprising, really, but I'm really grateful."

"Oh, there's no need to thank us!" Tanjiro told the little boy, "But... that key. What was it for?"

"It was for a mechanical doll." Kotetsu replied.

"A mechanical doll?" Tanjiro echoed.

"Yes, my ancestors made it. It has a total of 108 different movements!" Kotetsu explained.

"Woah...! Amazing!" Tanjiro exclaimed, eyes bright.

"What's it for?" y/n asked with curious eyes.

"Its power is greater than that of a human's so it's used as a training dummy." Kotetsu told her.

"So he was going to train, huh?"

"Yes but the battle doll has worn down over all the years and it'll break soon!" Kotetsu said, clearly worried about the damage to the machine.

There was a loud noise nearby and y/n perked up.
It seemed like... fighting.

"What's that!?" Tanjiro exclaimed.

"He's probably started training." Kotetsu replied as he got up, "Come on, it's over here!"

Y/n and Tanjiro glanced at one another before following the small boy through the forest.

They eventually found Muichiro, the Hashira fighting with the battle doll that had mentioned earlier. It was quick, so quick that y/n was caught off guard at first.

It took a moment hut she was able to adjust and it wasn't long before she was able to keep up with its movements.

"Wow..." she breathed, 'Mui has gotten quite strong. Just look at him! Ugh, I'm so proud!'

"That right there is the battle doll my ancestors built all those years ago." Kotetsu murmured, "Yoriichi Type Zero."

Y/n deadpanned, "Yoriichi, huh?"

"It's arms... why are there six?" Tanjiro inquired.

"Well, according to my Dad, this battle doll was modeled after a real swordsmen." Kotetsu explained as the trio watched Muichiro fight the battle doll, "They had to give it six arms. Otherwise, they wouldn't be able to replicate his movements."

"He looks a lot like Ko-chan..." y/n murmured as she observed the battle doll, "Quite similar, actually."

"Who's that?"

"My teacher."

"Your teacher? Either it's a coincidence or your teacher is over 400 years old." Kotetsu replied.

Tanjiro panicked, "Ah, well, it must be a coincidence then! Cause there's no way her teacher would be over 400 years old!"

Y/n didn't say anything nor was she worried. She was far too focused on watch the battle doll and its movements.
