I hold back a laugh.

He makes this so easy for me.

"So, why'd you bring me here?"

I have no idea what to say.

"I saw someone following you, and taking you to my house was the only thing I could think of."

"This is your house? Seems..cramped."

I mentally facepalm.

"Yeah, I built it myself. Sorry if it disappoints."

"Oh, well if you built it yourself, that's a lot different."

I put my hand on my neck and rub the mole there, a nervous habit.

Maybe he can stay just a little longer.

"Eh, people follow me all the time. I've gotten used to it. Thanks for trying to help, but I should leave."

I need him to stay, but I want to let him leave...

Oh well, screw the rest of the Neverseen, I'll be fine, and he'll be fine.

"Okay, well, you can call me if you're in trouble again, okay?"
He nods.

I take his hand and teleport him back to where he was before.

"Alright, bye!"

I wave him away and teleport back to my house, only to take off my addler and sigh heavily.

"Lady Gisela is gonna be so damn mad at me."

I pace and twist my fingers.

"She's gonna be all,'wow, you let my son go? I thought you could handle it, y/n, with your super awesome lightning powers, but you couldn't deal with it, so I guess I'll just use Glimmer again, no more missions for you until you've had some more training.' And it's gonna SUCK. SO. BAD."

I sigh and run my hands through my hair.

"And then Glimmer's gonna burn my arms and take away my gloves so I'm stuck wearing long sleeves no matter how hot it is, unless I want everyone to see the burns and think a Pyrokientic burned me instead of a Flasher."

I scoff.

"Stupid Glimmer. She does everything Lady Gisela says. Try a little rebellion once in a while, you know? Like, confidence is hot, have some of that, you can't burn yourself with your own special light powers."

You have light powers too, y/n, you know that, right?

"Yeah, but my powers are better, cause they're lightNING, not just light."

Eh, same thing though.

"No, not really."

This is why you're single, y/n, you talk to yourself in an empty house that you built yourself, after failing to capture someone.

"Naw, I'm single because I don't like anyone."

Wait, didn't Glimmer try to leave the Neverseen once?

Well, maybe if I team up with her and some other people, I can escape?
