Maya's POV
Alexa, Mookie, and I had fun at the mall earlier, we make a good team. Now that I was home I had to get ready, again. I hopped in the shower, this time for 20 minutes. I got out and wrapped my hair with a towel and then took the clothes out that I just bought. I was gonna wear a white t-shirt dress with a little pocket on it and nude pumps. I put on lotion, my underwear and bra and then put on my clothes.
I let my hair down and blow dried it sort of straight, then straightened it some more, and then curled it. I only use this much heat in my hair if I'm trying to look cute and I definitely was. I wore my hair half up half down. Now I needed some accessories, exactly 6 gold bracelets and a pair of gold hoops worked fine. Lastly my eyebrows needed to be done, badly. I quickly did those and touched up a few other things too. Now I was looking right but I had to smell good too. I sprayed Si by Georgio Armani in the air and walked through it.
I looked in the full length mirror on my wall, "Damn I look good" I say to myself before turning to leave my room.
I opened my car door and then texted Ray to be ready cause I'll be there in 20. I pulled off and got there in no time. While I waited for him to come outside I played Meek and Nicki's song "Big Daddy" while looking in the mirror and applying my nude pink lipstick. Just then, Ray opened the door and got in.
"Wow" was all he could say, I wasn't surprised
"Wow yourself " I say looking him up and down. He was wearing a white t-shirt with a pocket on the front and light blue Trues with his legend blue Jordan's. His waves had me sea sick!
"I see you match my fly shawty " he said referring to my dress.
"yaknoww " I said while laughing.
Now we were driving and he picked up the aux chord, "you mind?" he asked. I shook my head no. He plugged in his phone and turned on my favorite song by pnB Rock, hmu. And then he started singing, omg!
You ain't gotta ask nobody cause I gotchu, hit me up and imma slide through, yea I'll do anything for my boo.
He put his finger on my chin and looked at me, still singing. My light face turned red and I smiled. The light turned green but I wasn't paying attention, too busy looking at Ray.
Beeeeeppppp!! Lots of cars behind me were beeping their horns and I quickly turned my attention to the road and began driving again. Ray laughed and I did too, I really like this boy.
Rays POV
We pulled into the parking lot for Red Lobster and I automatically got excited, I love seafood. We got out of the car and went into the restaurant.
"Hi" said Maya in her white girl voice "can we have a table for 2 please?" Asked Maya with a smile.
"Of course " said the hostess "right this way" . She lead us to a table far in the back and handed us our menus, "and what will you two be drinking today?"
"Oh um, I'll have a raspberry tea" said Maya
"Same for me"
The lady flashed a smile and then walked away.
"So" said Maya "I have a show this Friday, you're coming right?"
"Yea yea of course" I said even though I knew I had important business on Friday "what time?"
"2-4" said Maya while looking through the menu. I nodded my head and then began to look through my menu. Then the waitress came with our drinks, "what will you be having tonight ?"
"Oh I'll take the 2 lobster tails and a mashed potato side, extra butter" I said. Maya nodded, "same for me".
The waitress smiled and then walked away.
"So, what have you been doing for the past 2 weeks" I ask.
"Dancing dancing and more dancing. This last show that's coming up is it for me, I've reached the age limit after being there since I was 5."
"Wow".
"Yea" she said, "this is especially important because an observer from NYU will be there and I CANNOT mess up, this determines my whole entire future"
"Wow" I say again "wait..did you say NYU as in New York? "
"Oh uhh yea, I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner but I got accepted, they just need to see me dance " she says while twidling with her fingers, she seemed nervous.
I exhaled "we'll figure it out ma , we'll have to"
She got up from the table and came to my side, she sat on my lap and placed her arms around my neck she planted kisses all over my face and the words I love you slipped out her mouth. "I love you more"
