Chapter 6: Zhongli story quest part 5

The final chapter of Zhongli story quest is here! After this will be the viewing of children of Aether. Anyway like I said before work and Real life making hard for me to write so it's gonna take a while for me to update. Anyway I hope you all enjoy the last chapter of this story quest.

"Girls time to switch again." Danheng said. The main girls changed their seat and soon Hu Tao was sitting on Aether right while Yae Miko was sitting left.

"We are near the end of Mr. Zhongli and Aether Journey and after that we will have a small break." Danheng announced. Everyone nodded at him.

"I still can't believe that Rex Lapis is really alive. Thank the Celestial." Xiao said with a smile on his face as he was happy to his Archron was still alive.

"Yes, wonderful news indeed but I still wonder why he faked his death." Cloud Retainer said.

"We must trust Rex Lapis. He has his reason. What I am suprise is that Traveler is the only one that knows Rex Lapis is alive" Moon Craver. The Adepti nods in agreement.

The group was finally outside of the ruins and make their way towards Guyun Stone Forest. The group finally arrived at the highest point of the area and Aether was carrying the two chalice and the ruler in hand.

"I wonder what Rex Lapis and Traveler are doing there." One of the people in Liyue asked.

Zhongli let out sigh before turning to Aether and Paimon. "Now, I mentioned before that many gods of old have been sealed beneath the Guyun Stone Forest. The adepti have presently handed Liyue over to mortals, and Havria's time was even further in the past. The salt chalice and salt ruler that she left behind should not return to Liyue." Zhongli said as he crossed his arms.

"To leave them here is to let them slumber, and it is also a homecoming..." Zhongli finished with a soft tone.

The people were surprised to hear this while Adepti had look understanding in what Zhongli wanted to do.

"Are you really going to dispose those relics, lord Morax." Ningguang asked.

"...Yes and all you will hear my reason on this." Zhongli said.

"So, what would you like us to do?"  Aether asked.

"I ended an era with my own two hands. I have always wondered how I should... remember that which I ended. History records, but history may be changed. This incident proved that. Time is a mighty force, and histories twist in its flow..." Zhongli paused a bit before he continues.

"That is true. As time passes we change either from better or worse. History is a reminder on what we were once. Either history will repeat itself or we can change the present for the better or worse." Danheng said. Everyone agreed on that because the future is unpredictable. Unexpected things will always happen.

"I need to find a better way of recording history in order to engrave its truth. Stone carvings were one such ancient method. But unchanging stone, immovable earth, even one such as myself... Someday, we may all disappear." Zhongli said with a solemn look as he knew someday his life on Teyvat will end.

"lord Morax/Rex Lapis" The people of Liyue and Adepti said as they look at Zhongli with sad look. They saw Zhongli had solemn look that was same as one on the screen.

"Zhongli..." Paimon said with a sad look on her face as she feels sorry for Zhongli.

"Therefore, I thought of you, Traveler." Zhongli said which suprise Aether.

Everyone was surprised at hearing this. They never thought Geo Archon would think of Aether.

"You are one who crosses the celestial atlas, and who passes through countless worlds. If our history is engraved in your memory, it will one day accompany you into another world. As long as a Traveler like you is able to record what happened, then a backup of sorts will exist for times and tides of Teyvat. " Zhongli explained to Aether and Aether realized the importance of why Zhongli wanted him to join and remember everything that happened.
