"Katie your going to be late" my mother shouted from the kitchen. I rolled my eyes as I glanced quickly at the clock before focusing back on applying my mascara. I put the applicator back in it's bottle before admiring my eyes. My eyes were my best feature. I had always been told that from a young age, they were big and blue, I made sure they always stood out.
I put my small mascara back into my make-up bag before zipping up the rose gold zip. I stood up and rushed to the small pile of clothes that sat, Looking lonley, at the end of my bed. I placed them on with care as I didn't wish to smudge any part of my make-up. I stood up glancing around at the empty room ,which was once accompanied by me, and collected the renaming amount of my belongings.
I hurried downstairs, collecting my acceptance letter on the way. I reached the bottom realising this was the last time in a while that I was going to be here. I worked my way to the kitchen and sat down at the wooden table opposite my brother, who at this point was on his 2nd piece of toast and 3rd bowl of coco-pops, I bit into my soggy and cold piece of toast scrolling through my phone at the same time. I pushed my plate away before hurrying to my car. It was only a small little thing but it did it's job. Packing the last of my belongings into my already jam packed car a figure emerged from the house.
My mum and brother locked the door before hopping into my car. "This is it! My beautiful baby is going to universtity." My mother said with a soppy sound in her usually high pitched voice. "Mum stop please! I'm going to be back in a few months!" I responded with a careless tone. Wiping her already formed tears away my mother replied "I know but your my baby." I rolled my eyes before setting off for one of my dream universities. Liverpool university.
I know what your thinking. Really Liverpool Katie? Well yes Liverpool! It's a beautiful town almost by the sea. And I love their accents! Plus it's a way for me I continue with my dance because I could always attend the Jelli Studios, which is roughly 10 minutes away from my complex.
From my home town Liverpool is 2 hours away, but It was worth every second of the journey, to be where I wanted to be and to start my future. As we pulled into the gate I had a clear vision of my time at uni. I was going to keep my down to ensure I could achieve the best grades possible. Looking round it was huge and I couldn't contain my excitement. Plus I was going to be sharing a complex with my 2 best friends Sophi and Melissa. I was looking forward to the next 3 years.
Driving around the car park I had my mum looking for my complex on one side and my brother on the other. Eventually my mum shouted "there!" I pulled up as close as I could to my front door and took a step outside to breath in the fresh Liverpool air.
As I stepped out of the car and took a quick glance at my surroundings I automatically felt like I was at home. The feeling of comfort washed over me making me instantly like the place even more. I walked around to the boot before unloading my property carefully, ensuring I didn't break anything. I carries them to the small porch at the front of my complex before getting my mother to unlock the small worn-down door. As I stepped inside I peered round before noticing Melissa, Courtney and Sophi. I instantly dropped my boxes and ran to them. I pulled them in for a hug. "This is going to be amazing!" I smiled. Sophie, Melissa and Courtney has been my bestfriends for as long as i can remember and knowing that i was going to be with them for the next 3 years made me more excited than before. .
The complex was fairly big, there was a little kitchen and stairs leading upstairs. Along the corridor on either side was 4 bedrooms and a bathroom. The bathroom was fairly sizes, with a small shower cubicle, a bath and a toilet with a sink. In each bedroom was a walk in waderobe and 2 beds one double in the centre and a small little bed sat next to the window overlooking a park.
There's a small couch in the kitchen/dining room area and a small TV.
I began to unpack but my mum wouldn't leave. She insisted on helping me to unpack, I continued to persuade her to leave and eventually she left. But she didn't leave that easily, she gave me a mini rant about how if I didn't get good grades or I didn't eat properly she would terminate my phone contract and refuse to pay for my tuition. Sophi and Melissa were sat on the sofa, laughing their asses off! I tried to usher my mum out of the door. Finally she left. Of course she continued to cry and I just waved. Suddenly the car made it's way from the drive, out of the campus and onto the main road. I quickly slammed the door and squeeled before running over to the sofa and giving Melissa and sophi a hug! I couldn't contain my excitement. "Finally im free!" I said with excitement. "The next 3 years are going to be the best:)! And there's a hot guy in the complex over the road." Sophi said, before pulling us into a group hug. We all burst out laughing before Melissa added "He looks like Charlie Lenehan from school! Do you remember him?" I scoffed "Yeah right, he was my bestfriend and we discussed all this and he said he wanted to go to Oxford, and that was 6 years ago when I last spoke to him!" I Went over to the kitchen and made myself a cup of tea. "Anyway shall we go out? I think there's a Starbucks on the complex. Maybe we should check it out? I asked. "Yeah why not? Lets go." Melissa and Sophi both agreed. So we all put on our matching white converse, cringey I know but hey:) and we set off.
We headed round the back and toward the reception. As we stepped inside a woosh of warm air hit me, and took me off my feet. Before I knew it I was flat on my face, facing the carpet. Sophi and Melissa stood away in a fit of laughter, and I couldn't help but laugh myself. I sat up onto my bum, and started to get up before a pair of big, fair skinned hands reached out at me as if to say "Ill help you" I looked up, and took a double glance. He had ocean blue eyes, with blonde soft hair. He looked so familiar. "Katie green?" He asked?....
