Katie and Y/n were now sitting at the back of the classroom. Their Instruments were in their hands, playing around with a song Y/n wrote. Of course, Y/n took this time to explain everything that happened with Freddy: perfect harmony, the dramatic pause where they were staring at each- other, and what would have been the kiss.

Now and then, she would look at the blonde boy hoping he was looking back at her. But unfortunately, he never was. He was too focused on his drums and talking to zack; he didn't look her way.

"So let me get this straight...You two barely ever talked for years. You denied feelings for him when I brought it up. But for the past few weeks, you've been helping him play guitar. And then you almost kissed?" Katie ranted, looking between Y/n and Freddy. "And I thought my relationships were complicated." She remarked, making Y/n roll her eyes.

"Now, he won't even look at me." Y/n sighed, flipping through her notebook finding a song to play. She decided on 'Now or Never' and began to pluck along, humming the lyrics.

"You're hanging out with him later, right?" Katie asked.

"Maybe, I don't know," Y/n stated, not breaking eye contact with her black book.

"Well, just-" Katie began to speak before getting cut off by Mr. S,

"Woah, Woah Woah, Emo girl...what are you playing?" He asked, grabbing the entire class's attention.

"Nothing." She mumbled.

"Well, it's something, or you wouldn't be playing it." Mr. S commented.

She groaned before handing him her book, "It's called Now or Never...I wrote it."

"You wrote this?" Mr. S asked, quite surprised. "Band! Gather around." He shouted to the rest of the class.

"What are we doing?" Lawerence asked.

"We're learning Y/n's song." The teacher stated.

"We are?" Y/n asked, shocked.

"Yeah. That's what bands do; we learn each other's songs." Mr S replied.

"So c'mon Y/n guide us...the floor is yours." He said, gesturing to the front of the class.

After Y/n taught everyone the song, Mr S announced it was time for everyone to go home, which led Y/n to look at Freddy, and this time he was looking at her back. He nodded his head, signalling that they were still hanging out. She smiled in response and began to pack up her stuff.

"Freddy, could you stay with me for a sec." Mr. S asked Freddy. He looked back at Y/n, "Wait for me?" He asked her. She mouthed 'yeah' and stepped out of the classroom.

"So Freddy." Mr. S asked sitting, down on his chair and placing his hands together. "I hear you have girl problems." He remarked, a smirk placed on his lips.

"What..No," Freddy replied, shocked.

"You sure? So nothing is going on with you and Emo girl?" The teacher asked, leaning back in his chair.

The blonde teenager's eyes went wide, "I- huh?"

"A little birdy told me you two nearly kissed." Mr. S replied smugly.

"Who told you?" Freddy stammered.

"That's not Important, Katie...Katie, she told me. But that's not important." Mr. S stated.

"I need to go, Y/n's waiting for me," Freddy spoke, desperate to get out of this awkward conversation. He picked up his bag and began to walk out of the class.

"Use protection!" Mr. S yelled, making Freddy's eyes go wide again.

He met Y/n in the hallway, jogging up to her. "What was that about?" She asked him. He shook his head replying, "You don't want to know."
