"Did you find out who their fathers are?" Lyubov' moya asked. (my love)

"I found out which families that they are from but not a specific father. But I thought that you didn't want to know."

"We don't. I just don't want it in the file that you give us that way their other doctors, in the future, won't know either."

"I will be sure to delete that information from the file before I transfer it to the flash drive Rose."

"Thank you. Is there any way that you could write it down and seal it into an envelope addressed to us just in case anything ever happens to you? Or after you seal it, you could go ahead and give it to us before we leave the academy. That way no one else will ever be able to know. And permanently delete it from their digital records so that no one can hack into your system and find out."

"Yes, I can and will do all of that as well. Is there a reason that you think that someone would go to that kind of trouble to find out who their fathers are?"

"Thank you so much Dr. Oldenzki." Both Roza and I spoke at the same time.

"I don't really know. I just have this feeling that if we couldn't find out without another DNA test. That it would come back to bite us in the ass somehow and for some reason." Roza moya shook her head. (my)

She smiled. "You are both very welcome. Yes, I will write it down seal it and go ahead and give it to you before you leave. I can understand your train of thought, it is better to be prepared for any given eventuality than to be caught unawares."

"Thank you."

"Of course, Rose, whatever it takes to set your mind at ease." Dr. Oldenzki smiled at the both of us.

Roza moya and I left the infirmary shortly after that and made our way back to our room in guest housing. (my)

"You should text your father and ask for him and your mother. To come to campus a few days early so that we can introduce the children to them before graduation. And I will do the same with my family. I imagine that your parents may need a few days to calm down once they find out about your decision to not make your promise. At least your mother probably will."

"Hmmm maybe not."

She sounded slightly confused and not quite sure about what she'd just said so I enquired further. "What do you mean Roza?"

"Well, since mine and my mother's relationship has improved so much. We have been talking on the phone and through texts a lot more often. Of course, any would be a lot more often in comparison to the way it used to be. Especially since we went years without so much as a single word passing between us." She laughed, which made me smile. I was so glad that she could look back on that bad time of her life and smile and laugh about it now.

"Ok?"

"Anyway, in one of those phone calls she asked me if I would ever consider going to college instead of becoming a guardian."

I was in complete and utter shock at her words. And apparently, I looked it because she laughed at me for a moment.

"What did you tell her?" I eventually got out.

"I told her that if I could find a field of study that I liked and that could catch and hold my interest and attention for more than a few days. Then I would definitely consider it."

"What did she say?"

"Oddly enough, considering our past conversations and fights. She oddly enough seemed happy, thrilled actually, and very proud."
