You and Josh were cuddling on the couch watching a movie, your head was on his chest as his fingers danced through your hair. You weren't sure if you were gonna make it through the whole movie at this point, between Josh playing with your hair and the coziness of the blankets you could feel yourself getting drowsier and drowsier.

J: love if you're tired, you can go to sleep
You shook your head continuing to watch the movie. Lately Josh had been so busy with work and you had just finally gotten to spend time with him, so you most definitely didn't want to sleep through it.
Y/n: I'm alright
Josh hummed letting you know he heard you then continued to play with your hair. As nice as it felt you knew it would put you to sleep so you grabbed his hand interlacing his fingers with yours. You kept his hand in yours just looking at them almost entranced. You felt how his fingertips on his left hand were slightly calloused from playing guitar. Josh let out a light laugh interrupting your thoughts.

You lightly looked up humming "hmm". Josh looked at you lovingly before speaking.
J: you could've grabbed my right hand the one that wasn't in your hair.
You shook your head, smiling slightly as you knew Josh liked playing with your hair.
Y/n: if you kept playing with my hair I would've fallen asleep.
Josh smiled a slight laugh falling from his lips as he looked at you.
J: and what would be so bad about that baby boy
Your heart fluttered at the nickname, as your cheeks flushed a deep red.
Y/n: I just, I haven't seen you much lately and I get that your busy filming and recording music. And in no time way am I complaining about your job. I just... I miss you, and I don't want to spend my time with you sleeping.
Josh gently grabbed your face with his right hand cupping it gently, as your right hand was still holding his left hand.
J: baby boy you could have told me sooner, how about this weekend we spend it together, we can go out on a date and come back here, you can spend the night on Friday and Saturday. You'll get me all to yourself this weekend. Just me and you.
You nodded a smile painting it's way on your face.
J: now how about you actually take a nap as I can tell your tired.
You nodded letting go of Josh's left hand so he could play with your hair. Josh moved his hand to your hair begining to play with it as his right hand settled on your lower back. You could feel yourself drifting off to sleep as La La Land played on the TV.
