nightshift pt. 2

I open my eyes to see suns tall figure hovering over me while I cling to his body. Arms tightly wrapped around his neck. "Sorry, sunshine I just wanted to come down here and draw!" Though the thought of drawing seems like sun the way he said it made me question if he was being sincere or frantically finding something else to preoccupy himself. "Sun, can you set me down please?" "Ah! Of course! Now let's go color!" He sets me down lightly on my feet and runs over to a rainbow shelf and pulls out paper and crayons then runs back to set them on the floor with a rather nervous and flustered action. "Sun" he looks up at me with a quick bolt of his head "yes?" "You didn't answer my question." He looks around the room as if he's looking for a way to escape answering. "I uh-" he looks down bashfully and plays with the crayon in his hands "y-yes, I do" I let out a small laugh hearing him confess "Hey sunshine! Don't laugh" he gives me a bit of an embarrassed groan in retaliation to my little laugh "sun, I'm not laughing at you I just thought It was kinda cute" giving him a warm smile I turn back to my picture and pick it up to show him. "Sunshine... Is that us? You drew us?" "Yeah I wasn't sure what else to draw but I think it came out pretty well, donchya think?" He springs upwards towards me and pulls me into a tight hug wrapping his arms around my body like a snake. "I love it! We look great together!" I feel my face getting red from that last statement ...we look good together. The more I think about it the hotter my face feels. "Ah sun could you uh- could you set me down for a moment?" "Hm? Oh of course, sunshine!" "Thanks" I check my Fazwatch and see i have about 10 minutes left on my shift sighing I turn to go to my desk at the back of the daycare "sunshine where are you going?" "Ah, sorry sun my shift is almost over for the night I have to go give my last report for this shift." He looks at me disappointed that I'll have to leave so soon. "Hey I'll be back on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday I don't work all week since the shifts are long but I'll be back soon okay?" Excitedly he runs over to the desk to spend the last few minutes of my shift with me.
-10 minutes later-
"Alright sun this is where my shift ends I'll come back to the daycare soon alright?" "Awwwwww alright bye sunshine." He gives me one final hug before I step out of those huge wooden gates and head home.
