Fallen from heaven

Chapter 2

Rachel hid underneath her covers, crying. She couldn't deal with it anymore. Her one love had killed himself to be with her, and then completely thrown her away. She wiped away her tears, and threw the cover off her bed. She jumped off the cloud, and landed by her grave. She sat down by it, and saw Marzia and Felix walk away from her grave, leaving a flower. They did that every day, at the same time. Tears welled up in her eyes.

"You can't hide from me forever, you know?" Max came up behind her, his dark wings turning a lighter shade of black, if that was possible. He still kept his distance, not knowing whether to go near her. She started walking close to him, turning into a run. She went on her tiptoes and hugged him around his neck. He stiffened beneath her. "I missed you, you know that, right?" She said, tears of joy spilling down her cheeks. Max released his tension. He hugged her back. "I know."

They stood there for a while, hugging each other, until Max broke away. That sat down on the grass. Max touched a flower, trying to pick it for Rachel, but it shrivelled up. He grunted in frustration. "Rachel?" He glanced towards her. "Hmm?" She asked.
"Are the babies in Heaven?"
