Was hard to say no to an offer like that. Verbally I said no, everything in me that I should be listening to said no. I just can't. I feel like I have to at least see, because after so long finally, someone takes what I say seriously. My words mattered to someone. Maybe after today, my words can matter to more people than just Spirit. I had already gone home after school and changed out of my uniform. I planned last night to do some more research on vigilantes and hero gear. I thought the best place to go was the cafe near my house. It's been a bit chilly lately so a nice cup of warm coffee would be nice, plus it's good for me to get out once in a while. I walk in as the wind pull of the door makes my scarf sway. I order my cup and sit down at one of the tables facing the window. It started drizzling, in the way that feels. Nostalgic. It was a very pretty day out, the bushes were blowing and the sky had a beautiful overcast. I picked up my coffee when it finished and started doing my research.

"Yes, that will wrap up our orders! Thanks! Have a nice day." two boys who look around my age said while seating themselves behind me.

"But yea I'm, extremely excited to see how I do. I know not many people get into UA but this is honestly my dream. I mean it's almost anyone's dream as a kid but this is something I really wanna do! You get me?"

"Yea I get it! I think it's very cool of you to actually, go for it." I started silently listening to their conversation.

"Thank you, dude! When the entrance exam starts in a couple of months I know I'll be prepared by then I'll be like one of those buff dudes on that one TV show you know the one?" My interest was fully peaked and I'm not sure what kind of confidence I've gained over the past few days but I felt a pull to just talk to them. I decided to walk up to their table and mention what I had heard from their conversation.

"Hey! I Uhm I heard what you were talking about earlier. I think it's cool that you're applying to UA, right?" I pointed at the friendly-looking yellow-haired boy.

"Oh! Yea I'm going to the UA entrance exam in a couple of months! I've wanted to be a hero for a long time you know, like any kid so I thought of trying to make that a reality for myself." He started messing with his fingers under the table.

"Well, I think that's awesome! I've always wanted to be a hero. I came here today to do some personal research on hero gear and heroes in general!"

"Oh really!? That's sick! Could I see?" The boy looked at me with pure curiosity that I wasn't expecting in the slightest.

"Oh? You wanna see my uhm notes?" He nodded his head towards me, the other boy seems interested as well.

"Ok! Do you mind if I pull up a chair?"

"Nope, not at all!" The other boy answered quickly." I grabbed my chair, coffee, and laptop from my table and moved them to theirs. I opened my laptop and started scrolling through my documents to find my info folder for heroes.

"Oh! What's that?" The yellow-haired boy asked

"Uh- oh? That? That's an old song I was writing it was just a silly phase I had when I was younger."

"You write music?" The other boy asked

"Well, I don't anymore I used to write music lyrics on the corners of books for fun, but that's about it." I laugh lightly to myself remembering that time.

"That's cool, sparky dude over here doesn't make music, but other than anything hero-related, music is all he talks about." He said hitting the yellow-haired boy's arm.

"Oh stop I don't talk about it that much- sorry! I cut you off earlier what were you gonna show us? A hero document?" The first boy said waving his hands.
