The Netherworld King and his Lover

Chapter 5

The black pupils of King of the Netherworld mirrored the boy's happy countenance.

Now that the boy had settled the most important matter in his life, he had the opportunity to take in his surroundings.

He suddenly opened his eyes and lips wide, becoming utterly still, when he noticed the unending sea and a gigantic flower in front of him.

In comparison to the enormous blossom, he was a mere speck.

"What is this place? Why are there so many flowers? Where's the exit?" Though the flowers were beautiful, the boy obviously cared more about if he could get out.

It took him so hard to have a leader, he didn't want to be trapped here.

"This is my world!" The King of the Netherworld stated that indifferently. As he was saying that, the flowers all burst into bloom. When the breeze blew over the boy's ears, he even felt that he could hear the flowers' laughter.

The boy shook his head and assumed that he must have heard that wrong.

"Then how can we get out? You have to take me with you!"

The boy was concerned that the man might abandon him. He could only cry under all those flowers if his captain fled without him.

An expanse of verdant land appeared beneath the king's feet as he took a step forward. Like a green carpet, the green countryside continued to expand forward with his steps. The green carpet quickly grew to be a thousand miles long, with many other green carpets spreading in all directions.

The boy saw the extensions being totally irregular. However, the king was actually employing an ancient illusion art.

In other words, the whole flower sea was actually a huge illusion.

It would be very lucky for someone to be able to jump out from the illusion. However, if one was drowning in the illusion, he would be beyond redemption.

"The exit is located where your heart travels. Follow your heart, feel the energy in the air, and resist the pull of your own wishes. When you've broken free from the flower sea's shackles, there's no stopping you. Let's see if you can keep yourself from succumbing to the temptation here!" The King of the Netherworld pointed to all the directions. Then the world started to be lively along with his movements.

The boy was pushed onto the green carpet. The scene in front of him entirely transformed before he could raise a protest.

There were several great and excellent rulers in the Heaven Phoenix Dynasty; some were ruthless, some were benevolent, and some loved the people...

Some of them may not have been ideal and may have had a terrible reputation. But there was little doubt that all of the monarchs of the Heaven Phoenix Dynasty were powerful men who had amassed enormous wealth. That was how the mighty Heaven Phoenix Kingdom came to be.

Among the seven kingdoms on the Green Feather Land, it was the most powerful. The Heaven Phoenix Kingdom has dominated the planet for hundreds of years, awe-inspiring neighbouring kingdoms.

The throne was wanted by many persons in such a prosperous dynasty. Emperor Phoenix had eighteen children during this time period, fifteen of them were princes and three of whom were princesses.

Therefore, which one of many of the princes would take the throne became the focus of attention.

There was a Kingdom's Tutor in the Heaven Phoenix Kingdom. Others also called him 'half an immortal'.

It was said that he had never made a mistake in telling fortune over a hundred years. Therefore, Emperor Phoenix asked him to predict which son of him would inherit the throne and create brilliancy to the Heaven Phoenix Kingdom.
