"Move it, fag!" Noah braced himself as he was pushed up against the lockers and sprawled on the floor, his binders strewn around him. He already knew who it was, though, and the harsh laughter confirmed what he'd thought: Bryce. Soon enough, the entire hall was filled with shouts and jeers, mostly Bryce and his cronies, but other students as well, too scared not to join in. The bell rang and Noah remained on the floor, having sat up and making himself as small as possible against the row of lockers. Ever since that one photo of himself had gotten out, Bryce had chosen to make his life a living hell. That was two years ago; a party and random guy long forgotten by now, at least as best he possibly could.

When he thought about it, Noah couldn't ever guess why Bryce had chosen to single him out. He'd been the school bully for as long as he could remember, and his victims weren't harassed for more than a month before Bryce moved on to the next one. He wasn't anything special, was he?

The second bell violently disrupted Noah's thoughts, making him jump.

Shit.

Now he was late for Biology, not that he hadn't been late for class many times before. At least Ms. Hansen was nice enough to excuse him. She had no idea what was happening, but Noah got the feeling she trusted his own judgment.

Walking into the classroom only got him a quick glance by his best friend, Lydia, and a few whispers from nearby students telling him to quiet down. Noah retrieved the work he was to complete for the day from his teacher and took his usual seat next to Lydia.

"Late again?" She teased, raising an eyebrow and the corner of her mouth.

"Shut up, Lydia," Noah scolded.

"What happened?" Of course, when she got the chance to talk in any of her Sciences, she would take it; strangle the life out of it as Noah said often.

"Bryce, I don't want to talk about it."

"Well, in other news," Lydia jabbed a pencil into his leg, making Noah suppress a yelp of pain.

"What was that for!?" He angrily whispered.

"Look at the door, dumb shit." He raised his eyes slowly and saw the handle turn slowly. In walked a slender, young boy. He was definitely in 10th grade, but still had a cute appearance to him.

"Who's that? I've never seen HIM before." Lydia smirked evilly.

On cue, the teacher rose and embarrassed the hell out of the boy.

"Can I help you?" She inquired, raising her eyebrow.

"Um.. I'm Damian. Is this Bio 11-2? I think I'm supposed to be here."

"Ah, yes." replied Ms. Hansen. "Class! Welcome our new student, Damian Cross. He'll be joining us from here on out. Damian, there's a seat free in front of Noah and Lydia you can take." Damian made his way to the seat, catching Noah's eye and casting a heart-warming smile towards him. As soon as he turned around and took his place, Lydia leaned in to her friend's shoulder.

"Well, I think someone likes you," she sang softly.

"Lydia, shut up. With my luck, any guy that hot is bound to be straight." At that, both of Noah's headphones went in and all sounds were flooded out by his favourite music.

All too soon, the bell had rung and last period was beginning. Gym; one of Noah's least favourite classes. He was already pretty fit; the typical slender build of "the preppy gay kid." Noah always caught himself looking in the mirror, appreciating his appearance. It would help if he had some sort of decent muscle build, but there was no way in hell he was going to do that, especially with Bryce in his class.

Another uneventful day in gym went by, aside from the snickers from the sidelines when Noah missed the ball. Volleyball was a stupid sport anyways; more or less an adult version of "Don't Let the Balloon Touch the Ground."

After class, Noah walked into the change rooms, deserted as they always were after school on a Friday. He didn't care; There wasn't anywhere he needed to go anyways.

Stripping down out of his sweaty gym clothes and casting them onto a waiting bench, Noah regarded his body in the full length mirror wall. He wasn't disappointed by any means, was he? There weren't any unsightly patches of fat on his thighs or stomach and his torso ended in the classical v-shape all guys were jealous of. He could see the muscles in his legs and arms flexing as he moved around; Defined but not overly large. Finally came his face; Noah pulled a silly look and crossed his eyes making himself laugh a little. Lydia had always told him that his blue eyes were amazing, and that any guy would be lucky to have someone with such an amazing shade. Shaking his head, his fringe of light brown, medium-length hair fell perfectly over one half of his face. This was the one accomplishment he knew he had. Through years of having terrible hair, Noah finally had mastered a hair iron and hair spray, triumphing over the rat's mess he used to call his head of hair.

The sound of the locker room door opening and soft footfalls interrupted his train of thought, and he quickly grabbed his clothes and flew into the closest changing stall. Peeking through the crack in the door, Noah caught a glimpse of the back of another boy who was wearing some highly familiar gym clothes. He turned and Noah had to keep himself from gasping in fear. It was Bryce... The other boy took no notice of the presence in the room and proceeded to undress; a shameless reveal for Noah in the background. Even when he feared Bryce as much as he did, it wasn't hard to admit he was one of the hottest guys at school; toned beyond anything Noah could accomplish and beautiful brown eyes that could suck you in if you weren't careful. Bryce walked off out of view, and the shower turned on. If he was quiet enough, Noah would be able to get out undetected. He dressed as quietly as he could into his shirt and socks and went to let his pants unroll when he realized, two seconds too late, there was still change from lunch in his pocket. Holding back a yell of mixed surprise and frustration, all he could do was watch as the five coins turned through the air, and listen as the shower turned off just as they hit the ground.

*CLINK*

"Who's there?!"
