Noah awoke to beams of sunlight gently making their way through the heavy curtains, as a light breeze blew through the room. Normally, he'd be cold in a situation like this; it was September.

Slowly, his mind came to full consciousness and Noah realized there was someone in bed behind him, holding him close. Loosening the arms' tight grip around his chest, Noah turned to face the sleeping image of Tyler. If he'd thought the boy was hot when he was awake, he hadn't had any idea about when he was asleep. Why was Tyler here, though? Noah's mind raced, trying to find an explanation, but it just turned out blank.

A soft mumble came from the sleeping Tyler and Noah responded hastily, not wanting to scare off his newly made friend. Slipping out of the covers, he found his clothes and changed and was out the door in less than a minute.

As for Lydia, the attractive aspect of sleep escaped her entirely. She was spread out on the couch downstairs with makeup spread across her face and strands of hair flying in every direction, snoring loudly. Noah stifled a laugh, and went about waking up his friend whose bloodshot eyes shot open as she dashed for the bathroom. After a near scream at her appearance followed by several instances of retching, Noah knew he wasn't going anywhere for a while. He cringed inwardly, thinking back to where he'd woken up not ten minutes ago. Would Tyler be disappointed when he woke up to an empty bed?

Almost on cue, a slender pair of arms snaked around Noah's waist and a very warm stomach ended up pressed against his back.

"What's up?"

God, even his morning voice sounded attractive. Noah blushed and turned around, placing his hands on the taller boy's shoulders; his bare shoulders at that. The thought was shaken off quickly, though.

"Nothing really.. I might ask you the same thing mister." Noah frowned, confused.

Tyler just laughed it off. "Can't I care about my friends?"

"Friends don't sleep with each other the night they meet."

"WHAT?!" Lydia shrieked from the bathroom, only to return to retching gracelessly.

"I should probably help the poor thing, this was nice though." Tyler smirked and went off to get a glass of water and some Alka-Seltzer.

Noah couldn't help but smile at the boy's reaction. What in the world had overcome him? Wasn't Tyler straight? It sure seemed that way when they met, but now.. A poke in his side stopped his train of thought abruptly.

"Daydreaming, are we?"

"Shut up, Tyler, I wasn't."

"Doubtful, but I'll believe your half-assed lie." Another gleaming smile and warm-hearted laugh accompanied this.

Noah blushed and hid his face in his hands. What was it with Tyler being like this?

"Weeeellllll?"

And why wouldn't he let it go?

Luckily, Lydia chose this exact moment to march out of the bathroom and grab Noah as she passed him, dragging him along in the general direction of the kitchen. She poured herself a glass of water and turned to face her gay friend, raising her eyebrow expectantly.

"Since when did my gay bestie decide to turn into a whore?"

"What the hell, Lydia?"

"All I'm saying is sleeping with the straight soccer jock doesn't seem wholesome and family-friendly from my point of view."

"I didn't sleep with him, I went to sleep alone and when I woke up, there he was; spooning me and everything!"

Both of Lydia's eyebrows raised now and her eyes were wide, her hangover long forgotten.

"Holy crap, are you serious? So much for straight... Do you like him?"

"Kinda... I don't know really."

"He sure as hell likes you, Noah. Give it a shot."

"What if I don't want to?"

"Then I can do it for you," Lydia stated as she began strolling towards the door, swinging her backside in an obscure fashion.

"Lydia, no!"

She sprinted out the door and bounded up the stairs, rather than into the living room and cast a glance over her shoulder before disappearing.

Noah sighed and brought a hand to his forehead, turning his back to the room and looking out the enormous window to the backyard, which stretched out in all directions. With his mind wandering again, he didn't hear the soft footfalls approaching him from behind, and was jolted back to the real world by the clearing of someone's throat, causing him to swing around and meet the deep, brown eyes of Tyler.

"Hey.." started the older boy quietly. "I heard you and Lydia talking about me. Sooo... What do you think? About me?"

Noah blushed and cast his head down in embarrassment. "I don't know... You're really nice and all... You're cute, too."

"Look up when you're talking, there's so much someone could miss if they weren't able to see those beautiful eyes." Tyler gently lifted Noah's head up and grinned once he saw the younger boy shyly smiling.

"And don't you ever stop smiling. You're gorgeous, Noah."

There was an awkward pause for a few moments before Tyler spoke up again. "Do you mind if I try something?"

The younger boy looked at him warily before Lydia crashed down the stairs and ran up behind the two.

"Noah, we've got to go. My mom's pissed that I didn't call last night."

Smiling sadly, Tyler stepped out of the way and allowed the two friends to make a quick escape, hearing the roar of the engine and the squeal of tires fading into the distance. He took a deep breath and slowly strolled through the house, kicking aside the red plastic cups aside in the process. Upon reaching his room, Tyler gazed around, taking in the sheer size of it. It made him uneasy, and so he fled to the much smaller guest room where he crawled onto the bed and curled into a ball. The pillow that still smelled like Noah was cradled against his chest as he fell asleep, the silence of the mansion louder than it had ever been before.

So, I haven't updated in a while. I'm really sorry about that. Hoping you guys haven't abandoned me yet, or given up hope in me as a Wattpad author -.-" Anyways, here's the deal. My phone's crashed as has my laptop. I have little to no access to this account, so don't be expecting some miracle where I update weekly. XD

What the hell, Tyler?

What the hell....

Look for more updates, as well as a new story I'm working on called Fallen. Hopefully the summary will be up soon, but I can't guarantee anything.

Falling into the void that all Wattpad writers have and finishing off with "Vote and comment." :p And any suggestions?
