Chapter 1: 𝙾𝚛𝚒𝚐𝚒𝚗𝚜 𝙾𝚏 𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝙾𝚣𝚋𝚘𝚛𝚗𝚎𝚜

A long time ago, there was a world of peace, happiness, and magic that was handed down by two brothers, Icarus and Cornelius.

A world named The Ever Lands.

14 were made from Cornelius using a different color representing a different magical power.

Icarus made ones that could never be demolished, evil, and powerful, whereas Cornelius made four elemental, three pillars of existence, six advanced, and one-dimensional ones.

Due to Cornelius & his brother's disagreements and conflicts, they went to war because Cornelius refused to accept Icarus' magic.

Their descendants carried on this war for centuries, and we have passed down the legend to our children as part of our family history. This world is split between good and evil.

Have you heard of the Council of Ember? You haven't? The Council of Ember is the group that Cornelius created to balance out our magical world and its magic. 8 members stood in the council.

My mother & father were one of the eight members of the council. Who were they and how did they get into the council? Well, let's go back three generations, shall we?

My grandfather, Will Ozborne, had a brother, William Ozborne, my uncle. In the same way as Cornelius and Icarus, both of them disagreed with each other and one of them was secretly on the side of darkness.

They were both taught to be on the rightist side of the family and not to choose the dark path like Icarus, but one disobeyed them that was William. He never liked being good. So, he ran away from home neither his family nor Will has ever heard of him every again.

Until he found ruins of the ways Icarus made his elements and became evil. William was intrigued by him until he found Icarus' tomb. When he found the tomb, he learned and began to build an empire in his honor.

After a few years Will had a daughter Kate. He taught her how to use magic and the origins of Cornelius until she was 16. Will learned of his brother's reappearance and how he was causing chaos throughout the land. He was very displeased with his brother, ordering him to stop the chaos, but William refused to listen to him.

They went to war. William had put his apprentice Damien on the battlefield, while Will put his daughter. Everyone a prepared for this day but not for Kate nor Damien. As soon as they saw each other on the field, it was love at first sight, they clashed and dance the fight away.

The first time they met, they considered hiding somewhere so they wouldn't get caught and be able to talk. They started to continue this for 2 years becoming a couple a secret one in fact until they were caught by Will and boy was, he not happy about that. Kate had tried to convince her father about this and that they love each other, but he didn't except their love and exiled his daughter out of his land. Damien, on the other hand, was forbidden to go back to William's land, but he warned them never to return.

Both sides of the family rejected them, but it was hard on them. Where would they live? Where would they live? Have we got enough money? They questioned themselves. Both of them decided to build a home and work together to find jobs and earn enough money to make it through.

Several months later they discovered ruins of a council Corneilus made for justice and balance of magic; Kate's father never discussed this before, but this gave them a chance to change their family's perception of them.

The council was formed with the help of a few people and the desire to join. In Kate's homeland, they presented the new members of the council, including Kate & Damien. Kate "The Golden Rose" and Damien "The Black Raven" had earned these titles throughout being in the council.

Once Kate's father learned about this. He decided to talk to them and he had apologized to them for treating them wrong and had accepted Damien to the family. Both Kate and Damien were so happy to hear those words and forgave him.

Kate had grown powerful and had helped the land, but they would have never been able to come home and be accepted without her.

Three years passed, Kate & Damien are married and have children. It was Lizabeth or Liz for short, Gabby, and Max. Every one of them had light magic, Liz the first born had healing and intelligence. Gabby had transformational magic, and very skilled combat ability in weapons and in fighting. Meanwhile, her brother had some combat, and shadow magic. Max and Gabby had both ADHD and autism. Gabby having APD (aka Auditory processing disorder). They were a hyper, chaotic, and rebellious duo.

Kate and her family lived in a land between good and evil where they lived happily.

However, was this family truly happy?
